The old birds were back in SP again today. Me, Chalk, Joshua, Nikky, Shermian, Siyu, Teck Chau and SQ went back SP fc6 for lunch. Think most of us really miss the food there and of course, it was good to reminisce about the old days as well.

Reminiscing would not be complete if we did not make a trip to the place we call "home" in school during our 3 years there. The juniors were in the room when we made our grand entrance. Probably some of them were thinking who the hell are these bunch of people who just crashed into the room without invitation. Of course the room now and the room then is totally different. Gone are the damn old sofas, the filmsy blue cupboard which requires us to hammer it straight during every spring cleaning, the irritating big tables that ate up tonnes of space among many others. But some things are still around though. Like the foldable wooden chairs which guaranteed you a sore butt after seating on it for hours, the black shelf is still around and so are the guitars. We took our leave after a while as it was definitely awkward in there with the juniors even though some of them do know who we are.

Of course a trip down to SP is not complete if we do not sit down and relive the old club days. Which was what Chalk, Teck Chau, SQ and me did at fc3. Recalled all the funny and memorable moments we had in club when we were planning for camps and events. The evo 10 mode 2, the air-con repairman, the helping grandmother cross the road, the human rights, the days of sweat and tears. All classic memories but all of them never fail to bring a giant smile or laughter to our face whenever we relive those moments. I guess SQ hit the jackpot when he said that it was the bond that we shared, the camaraderie that we had with each other that made planning such a fun thing in those days. Sadly, these bond and camaraderie seems to be missing from the juniors when some of us made a visit during the recent fo camp.

Needless to say, we will still continue to go back SP, be it for the food or for other stuffs. And hopefully, there will be a day where we can finally see the bonds and camaraderie return to our "home". In the meantime, let us keep reliving these memories whenever we meet up so that these memories would never be forgotten and it really is one of the finest memories i ever had in my life.

Ok, i have been MIA for far too long now. No entries for feb at all and now an entry on the last day of March.

Been really busy with work, especially the month of March. All the weekends were spent working. Never been so tired before. In fact, the next few months gonna be the same as well with all the events coming in thick and fast. The thing that is motivating me is actually the Bangkok trip with the mit juniors in May. Can't wait for that 1 week break.

Think i have made up the decision to go and study. Most likely gonna do Mass Comms. Looking at SIM-RMIT or MDIS-OCU. Im inching more towards mdis at the moment as i will only take 1.5 years to finish as compared to 2.5 for sim. I just want to finish and get the degree as soon as possible which is why i think im moving towards the mdis option.

Heading over to JB with the ict peeps this saturday. At least this is going to be a long weekend for me. Allows me to recharge for April.

I never had any regrets about anything in my life but i guess this will go down as one.

How to spend your off days fruitfully.

Was on off yesterday and on monday. And im glad i spend my off days fruitfully. And here's how you make full use of your off days.

1. Go for a swim: Met up with teck chau in the morning for a swim at Jurong Safra. That place is looking good. The swim was alright i guess. Did not swim as much as i like to. Stamina for swimming and strength really dropped alot. That's what happen when you don't swim for 1 year. So it was relax one corner in the pool with teck chau.

2. Go back SP FC6 for some good food: teck chau and me then met up with qiuhui for lunch at SP! I sure miss foodcourt 6 food. The muslim stall's food is still among the best i ever had! Took a tour of T19 after that and the whole place has changed. There is even a hill top library beside T22. All these changes really make the place for more chilling rather than study. No wonder its called Chill@SP.

3. Get a new pair of court shoes: Headed over to queensway to get a new pair of court soccer shoes.

4. Went back to my second home, DMIT Clubroom: Visited my second home, the clubroom as well. And can you believe it, there is actually a Afiq's corner for him to put all his nightwalk props and costumes! Like WTF. I don't even have a President's Corner or President's chair the last time i was there. What is the world coming to man.

5. Dinner with friends: tc and me then met up with shermian and siyu for dinner at SIM!

6. Get a new phone: Went to get myself a new phone on tuesday! E72!

7. Housekeeping: Did some housekeeping by tidying my room and throwing away the thrash. Did computer housekeeping as well after i changed my HDD.

So 2 very well spent off days! Next period of holidays will be CNY where i will be clearing the whole week off!

This entry is very very very late. Been like damn busy recently with events. Hardly had the chance to take a breather. I seriously owe this blog a decent entry as well so this shall be it, my reflections on 2009 and of course the year ahead, 2010.

I ushered in the new year at the floating platform coz i was working at an event. First time ever im doing a countdown event and it was great. I had first class seats to the fireworks and this is the first time ever which im so close to the fireworks. I can like see the place where the fireworks are shooting out and the fireworks are like exploding in my face. Throughout that 8 minutes, i really reflected on my 2009. So here goes... ...

2009. A year which i spend most of the time working and working. But thankfully, i still manage to find time here and there to spend time with my friends. But lets talk about work first. Work was one way or another great. I learned plenty during this one year and i can say it was all fruitful. Of course there were the lows as well when my mind was like mentally exhausted and also when i had run-ins with my colleagues sometimes. But all is good i guessed. Did plenty of interesting events as well. So all in all, work was good although i could do with abit more rest!

Ok, enough about work. I went Taiwan for the second year running! This time round i went with my rainbow gang. Of course, i still love the place. The food, the scenery and of coz the "tai meis"! But i still prefer the first time though coz no matter what, nothing beats the first time. That said, i would not mind going back again in the near future. And hopefully this time round, i can venture further than Taipei!

That aside, i really enjoyed the times spent hanging out with all my friends. All the dinner and lunch gatherings, all my juniors' 21st (and a BIG HOLE in my pocket) and all the movies outing. All of it will be permanently screwed into my memories forever. So a big thank you to all my friends! You people truly played a huge part in my 2009!

I went for my first reservist or ICT in October! Fast eh. ORDed just a year ago and im back at Chong Pang Camp! But of course ICT is totally different to when you are an active nsf... More slack you could say =X But is was great catching up with several of my platoon mates again. Although the outfield part sucks!!!

I also ran my first ever 42.195!!! Running a half-marathon was actually one of my resolutions for 2009 and i complete that in August when i ran AHM. But i took the step further and completed the SCSM in 6hrs 15 mins! Not bad for a first timer! And it probably won't be the last marathon that im going to participate in.

Looking ahead to 2010, of course there are several goals which i have set for myself. Firstly of course, start studying!!! I've been dragging on going to study for quite a while already and hopefully, come mid 2010, i will get myself started. Secondly, to pass that damn IPPT. This is really something that will haunt a guy until he finishes his NS cycle. Really got to force myself to train for this. 6 chin-ups and 216cm! I can do it! That's actually my 2 main aim for 2010 and hoepfully a year later when im typing this entry, i can say that i have completed my 2 goals.

Ok, this a long one. Haven really type a decent entry for quite a while. Hopefully this makes up for it!

Been having fun for the past few weekends. Really got to enjoy myself first without all the events start coming in December which would mean no time to play. I guessed most of my weekends in December will be burned for events. Most likely i got to work on both Christmas and New Year. That's my life i guess.

Anyway, had a bbq with the rest of the mit juniors around 3 weeks back. Went back Montfort Sec for a photo taking cum mini class gathering 2 saturdays ago. It's been quite a while since i last been back to my alma mater. They gonna tear the school down and rebuild a new building so this was basically our last chance to have one last look around at the place where i grew up. We even got to enter our old classroom courtesy of Mrs Lee. Really bring back memories of the times we had there.

Went for a prata session at Jalan Kayu with the juniors that saturday night as well. A rarity that they are coming to the north eastern side of singapore since most of them live in the southern side. And guess what, we celebrated Steph's birthday at a prata shop!!! That is so funny can. Since when have you seen people celebrating birthday at a prata shop!

Went timbre last friday with the juniors again!!! Wow, i've been seeing them every week! Timbre was great as usual but really, i think we always go too early and in the end, we always left when the band finished their first set. But we love going timbre@substation on a friday coz of the band. 53A rocks! I think they are one of the better and talented band in Singapore. Would love to stay thoughout their entire session next time!

November is gonna end soon. I seriously cant believe how fast time flies. Unknowingly, i have been in this place for more than a year already. Unbelieveable. Maybe its coz of the duration or maybe its coz of the circumstances for my case. But i feel that maybe, just maybe, my time here is up and it is time to really move on. But the options i have now are not looking very good. Which means im still gonna hang out here for quite a while.

A short week this week. Gonna enjoy as much as i can and while i can.

Seriously, i am surprised that i have not deleted this blog due to its inactivity... Lolz! Just dont have the urge to really update frequently nowadays... Been wanting to change the blogskin for a long time and i have still to get down to work on a new one... And the thing is, i haven't even install all the brush packs and fonts for photoshop after i changed my comp and installed CS3...

Alright, i swear to myself im going to get my photoshop up and running as it has been ages since i last did something in it...

Anyway, just for the record, i completed my first ever In-Camp Training as an NSmen a week back... Went back for a 2 weeks high key reservist... Call it lucky if you want... First one and it was a major one... 5 days outfield including the weekends... But it was alright i guess although it takes some getting used to since i have already been out of it for like 1 year plus! Overall, it was an ok experience... Although after looking at some of the people there, i was glad i ORDed early...

Went for Nike Human Race 2009 on Saturday... Good run and it sure was good training for Stand Chart... Finished the race in around 1hr 10 mins which was a good timing for me... The route for the run was pretty boring though and the clusterfuck we keep encountering was a irritating disruption to our momentum... So next up, its Standard Chartered 42km!!! Oh man, i seriously got to train for that if i really want to finish the race and get the finisher-tee...

Been really thinking hard for the past week about my life now and in the future... Been really bothered with several issues... I feel like sometimes my time has been taken for granted??? That other people time is more important than mine... Which has resulted in me missing out on several things??? Perhaps its time to speak up but i know my position... Well, maybe a change of scenery would be better??? Seriously, im weighing too many issues inside of me now with no outlet to express... Why cant life be simple...

And i just want to get out of the country even for a few days...

AHM 2009

Completed one of my resolutions for this year when i completed 21km at last sunday's Singapore Bay Run/Army Half Marathon 2009... My watch read 2hr 59mins when i reached the end point and so minus the 10 mins or so we spend waiting to go to the toilet, i took around 2hr 49mins to finish the race... Not exactly a very good timing as i had hope to complete in less than 2hr 45 mins... Well, it was a good effort though seeing that its my first long distance race in a long long time... Have to continue training as i have signed up for Standard Chartered 42km at the end of the year... Seriously, im still wondering why the hell i signed up for it!!! But its something that i always want to do once in my life so yep, gonna train like hell for it(hopefully)...

Thank god i took yesterday and today off as im really feeling the effects of the run... Not so much in my legs though... There is the ache in my calf and hamstring but the more serious ache seems to be at my shoulder area and back... Definitely signs that my conditioning wasn't really ready for such a race which is why im feeling the after effects now... I wonder how my body will feel after 42km at the end of the year???

Its a very funny thing really... I signed up for all these marathons at the urging of my platoon mates from 160... And when i tell people that im running all these races, all of them will be like - "wa kao, in army always chao keng don't want to run. now ord liao go run marathon. wtf!" Quite true though... Haha... But its different really... In army, you will get sick and tired of running coz thats what you do most of the time and you cant really run at your own pace as well... Outside, you won't have someone bellowing at you to run faster and to keep up with those fast people... And best of all, you don't have to sing!!! God, i used to hate singing when running when i was in the army... Singing while marching is still ok... But running??? Im already out of breath and i still have to sing or im gonna hear cries of "knock it down" very soon... So you see, its different!!!

Im dreading going back to work tomorrow... My guess is that my mailbox is gonna be flooded with mail for rsvp for a project that im doing right now... I just hoped that intern did not screw up whatever i asked her to do...

ok, i admit i was lazy to update during the past 2 months!!! there was quite a lot of stuffs to update during that time but either i was too busy or when i was free, i was too lazy...

lets see, what have i been busy with for the past 2 months... oh yes, all the 21st birthday parties!!! there was shuping's, then followed by qiu's and then finally siyu's... which kinda reminds me, i have yet to get the photos from them... damn, seriously, what have i been doing for the past 2 months...

and then, there was my second trip to taiwan!!! this time round was with the rainbow gang... hmm, which time was better??? i would say the first time there though coz as compared to the first time, i was more used to the surrounding and there wasn't really much surprises this time round... but it was a good trip nonetheless with a group of great company... photos are all facebook so just pop by my profiles to see what i was doing in taiwan... that said, i would want to make a thrid trip there again though, but this time round to other parts of taiwan other then taipei!!!

then, liverpool came to town to play a friendly match with our singapore lions... why am i talking about this even though im not a liverpool fan??? well, i just want to add my two cents worth into all the debacle arosed from that match... lets start off with the national anthem debate... personally, i felt that it was very disrespectful of the organisers to play liverpool's anthem when the president of singapore, mr sr nathan was leaving the field after being introduced to all the players, whats with the nation's birthday coming up in less than 2 weeks time... but i wonder though, would the fans sing the majulah singapura as loud as they sang you will never walk alone??? and of course the announcement of "this is anfield"... whoever the emcee was(i heard was that bimbo jamie yeo), he/she has got to be kidding me... anfield is like a a few hundred thousands miles away in england... this is kallang for goodness sake!!! i wonder how the singapore team players felt when they heard that... as for the fans, well they paid to see liverpool play so i don't think we can blame them for not supporting the lions coz i will be supporting man utd too if they had played at the national stadium but surely they could more cheers for the lions??? it really goes to show how unpassionate about our own national team we are and that is something which i feel the sports council or the government should really address...

anyway, im feeling damn damn sianz now... supposed to be on off for both today and tomorrow after working throughout the weekends... but got to go back to office tomorrow for dunno what reason... zzz... and it sucks as well coz i had an appointment with friends lined up... well, wat to do... LLST... something tells me its really time to relook at things...

ok, thats all folks... i must really try to blog more especially when there is some special occasions as thats the main point of me keeping this blog, all the good and bad memories =)

Taking a break.

a long weekend for me as i was on off on friday... a break that i was pretty much looking forward to after a pretty tiring weekend the week before... week before was GSSC or rather the great singapore shopping challenge where teams from singapore and overseas battle it out to see who got the most savings from the things that buy...well, the event was good from the outside... but from the inside... hmm...

in life, there are some words that are spoken which cant be taken back... and i always say this, some matters can be forgiven but they will never be forgotten... it doesn't matter how stress you are or how busy you are coz the only reason why people will communicate with you is coz they wan things done or coz we like to ask you things when you are busy... no matter what, the level or tone that was spoken was definitely not right... anyway, a week has past since the event and everything is sort of back to normal i guess... but like i said, some things will never be forgotten...

my long weekend was spent fruitfully i would say... met up with ferg on friday to have lunch at sp!!! its been a long time since i last went back school to eat... i really do miss some of the food in foodcourt 6... the malay food, chicken rice, seafood soup with prawn noodle soup, yong tau foo etc... after lunch, went down to club to see what has become of the place which i used to call my second home... well, quite a lot have changed since then and i shan't comment much... just wanted to have a look at the place and relived some of the great memories there...

saturday... met up with ferg, shawn, gavin, kim and bin!!! omg... its been ages since i last saw bin... and a big congrats to him for finally overcoming OCS and getting commission next week!!! he still hasn't change much though... still the ever cranky and muscular bin that we know... btw, his arm muscles is like the size of my calf!!! anyway, dinner was steamboat at bugis... sort of a farewell to another 2 of my juniors in ferg and gavin as they prepare to enlist and protect the nation... hearty gathering that was full of laughter and craps...

then today met up with the gang of chewling, michelle, yg, dom and joe... had lunch at kim gary at tampines one... been long time since i last saw them as well... caught up with one another and also talked about our taiwan trip which is happening in 4 weeks time!!! cant wait to get of singapore...

next 2 weeks gonna be packed again with birthdays celebration to attend... which is why i requested to skip one of the event on saturday... sometimes, one really needs a break!!!

damn... its been one month since i last posted... wanted to post a few times but either i was too lazy or i was too busy... so this post is basically to make up for the past month and im gonna flood this post with tonnes of pictures as pictures speaks a thousand words they say...

lets see... one event that i attended was shermian's 21st... 18 april if i never remember wrongly at parc oasis condo in jurong... shall let the pictures do the talking later on in the post...

next up was of course orchard reloaded as female & nuiyou presents the longest orchard catwalk!!! we were one of the organisers for the catwalk as well as the orchard reloaded campaign... the setup means camping in orchard road again!!! the setup for this was pretty intensive... more do than sweet christmas as it consists of 2 areas... ngee ann civic plaza as well as the walkway... actual event was on 1st may and the days leading up to the event day was shite to be honest... one of the most hectic week i ever had... i dont recall sweet christmas being so hectic... anyway, this event was really an eyeopener for me... really come into contact with things that i dont normally deal with... quite interesting really... the event ran very smoothly and we had a great time at the post part afterwards... photos below will tell more im sure!

FOC 09/10

last week was a very short week for me at work... took off on wednesday and thursday and friday was a public holiday... thank god for this long break... it really gives me a chance to recharge my batteries... the month ahead gonna be a very very tiring one with the orchard reloaded event coming up and i definitely need this rest so that i can chiong for the rest of the month...

somehow just nice, this week was MIT or rather DMIT(they change their name for the upteenth time in the past 4 years -.-''') freshmen orientation camp... so ferg ask me whether i want to go back at least for the last night to see see and to play also... after deliberating for a while, decided to go down on the last night since im on off the nxt day and i got nothing to do also... didn't really want to go down in the first place as the people there are all unknown except for those year 3s... so it was great to see some familiar faces... chalk, joshua, adrian were all there and it was great to see them again... and really, their presence was worth going down as it was great catching up with them again... topics range from what everyone is doing now to the good days in poly when we were the ones busy planning and running the camp... it really brings back memories and got me feeling nostalgic all over again... maybe we can do something like chalk said, have a annual gathering for all the seniors during every year's FOC... now wouldn't that be nice... anyway, saw abit of the camp and it was ok i guess but as long as the freshies enjoyed it then its good enough... i stayed all the way till the end of the camp after which, the seniors went out for a nice bit of dinner at clementi...

the weekends was spent slacking at home really... sometimes it just feels good to laze around the house, surfing the net, playing some games and finishing a book... and seriously, 3 days of rest really can do wonders to one's body...

so its back to work tomorrow... i hope there isn't really alot of things waiting for me coz i definitely will feel lost after 5 days of not going to office... lolz...

last week was a very very busy week... preparation for asiaone adventure race on saturday... the event is sort of like an amazing race but teams go driving around singapore in a mini cooper with pit stops in between and you have to accomplish some tasks for those pit stops... sounds very fun right... well its suppose to be... but i can guarantee you its not as fun as all the amazing race i did for all the FOCs... really no fight loh...

but the day was spoilt by some bastard/fucker/cbk/any-other-vulgarities-you-can-describe-a-guy from mini... seriously... i swear i have never been that pissed off for a long long time and i swear as well i will punch him in the face if he is not a client of my client... all he wants to do is make things difficult for us... and add to fact that he only dares to scold people behind their back but act all friendly in front of them afterwards... i know its easy for him to scold me coz im juz a small fry but in front of my manager, he tried to act all friendly after scolding him behind his back... what a joke... sorry, but im condemning mini cooper after this incident...

anyway, the rest of the day on saturday went pretty smoothly and ending point was at paulaner at millenia walk... big thanks to all the station helpers for that day... you guys did a fantastic job... got to thank esther as well for putting up with all our last min changes and demands...

after which, headed down to siyu's house for steamboat gathering... thanks fish for preparing all the food!!! it was very good... a good dinner with plenty of catching up in between... after dinner was just sitting in front of the tv relaxing and chit-chatting...

this week gonna be a lull week for me i guess... until the next brief on the next event... planning to take a couple of days off next week... still got alot of offs haven clear... sounds like im in the army eh... alot of offs haven clear... lolz!!!

Finally an update

been MIA for too long... very busy with work nowadays... things are coming in thick and fast and while it means there is things to do, it could also mean burnout... i was feeling really jaded for the past week... dunno the reason for it though... could be due to the lack of rest that im having and i was thankful that it rained today which means league match is cancelled and that means i could spend the entire day at home recharging my battery... although still not yet fully recharged, the rest would do alot for my body...

went back to Chong Pang Camp yesterday!!! 6 months after we left that place, we are back there again for a NSmen briefing... that place hasn't change at all i guess... and saw all my A1 mates again although those who are in NTU did not have to go for the briefing... besides my fellow A1 mates, several other familiar faces were also back... im not gonna miss that place much though as im gonna go back in like 7 months time... received the ICT notification already and i will be having my first ICT as an NSmen this october... high key one as well... my guess would be bersama series which sucks though...

after which was back to SPH for the finals of the Business Quiz... finally Business Quiz has come to an end after around 1 month of competition... SMU deservedly won it and NTU was second... stayed for teardown until around 2pm before heading to suntec for IT show... and was it crowded... met yiboon and yaolong along the way and decided to join them... went there, headed straight to apple booth and got my new toy, an ipod touch!!! time to flood it with songs and videos... headed back after that and i thought when i came the crowd was bad... the crowd was even more worse when i was walking back to the mrt station... pics below will tell the story...

oh, went with my colleagues on friday night to sunset grill at seletar camp there... its quite a nice place and the food is good... but u muz drive in order to access the place though...

i seriously hope the economy starts to pick up for everyone's sake including mine as i could be unemployed starting june and i hope to be able to find another job after that...

Bad Weekend

after 2 great weeks before, this weekend was sort of a low one...

not having a date on valentine day was bad enough(just kidding!), some people from a particular university had to ruin what was actually a good start to a event with her soreness in losing and her whining... seriously, i have never seen such a sore loser in my life before... i thought i was sore enough but there is actually someone more sore than me... and seeing an undergrad behave in such an unsporting manner only goes to show not all uni grads are refine and well educated people... whining at every little things from the buzzer having error to unfair points given to opposition team to kicking at the wall!!! these are not acts which an educated person will do...

we lost our game against ventz on sunday 1-0... lost to a freak goal by the opponent and a fight even broke our during the game after instigation from their players... im going to use the game as an example... so we lost sort of unjustly... are we gonna to complain and make noise saying that its unfair and that the opponent should be disaqualified because they were fighting??? i don't think so... losing is not a good thing and i have to say that everyone don't like to lose... but its the manner in which one lose... is it gracious or is it ungracious??? we will definitely be sore about the loss and will grumble for a while after the match but after that, its over... its time to pick ourselves up and look to the next game... so really, the weekend was spoilt by that one whiny person... wasn't help by the defeat either... damn, thought we could have won and overtake them in the league... it was deja vu all over again really... playing really well but just couldn't finish the opponent off... they had that one freak chance and they scored... well, that's life... shit happens... its apex next week, lets see if we could hand them a first league defeat...

i have a feeling this week is going to be a long week... lets hope everything is good...

another great weekend gone past in a wink of an eye... can we have extended weekends??? in that way i can slp longer and play longer...

friday night was a busy night... i met up with yehshun, xianyuan, keyuan, sinwah, yaoxing and kiechuan for steamboat dinner first before rushing over to marina square to meet up with the A1 gunners for a bowling session... both session was sort of a farewell session... xianyuan leaving for australia on thursday and justin leaving for australia as well on tuesday... thats alot of people leaving for kangarooland... fabius is already in ozzie already and stephanie is leaving on wednesday... looks like australia is the destination for anyone who is thinking of going overseas to study... guess there is the cheapest... anyway, enjoyed both sessions, particularly the one with my platoon mates... its been ages since i last saw them... so it was a great feeling to see all of them again... great to hear that they are doing well as well... well to justin and xianyuan, all the best in australia... take care and have fun over there... play hard n study hard and see you guys at the end of the year...

extended our unbeaten streak in D2D league to 2 games... nothing to be proud of you would say but i think its quite an achievement for us already... drew 1-1 with mammoet... it was really a physically bruising game as they had 2 players sent off... the opponents were quite good though... they really close us down and not giving us the space to play our game... their goal was also a result of a defensive lapse on our side so i would say we deserve to win this game... got my first assist as well!!! lets keep this good form going and continue our unbeaten run next week...

another event gonna start this week, meaning its gonna get busy again! busy is better than nothing to do!!!

the weekend was a great one i would feel... totally enjoyed it... it been a long time since i last enjoyed myself so much... like what daphne said, first time in a long time that i don't have to think about fairprice and those unbearable aunties... so it was definitely a good weekend...

saturday was our once a year secondary school gathering session at mrs lee's house... we always have this gathering at mrs lee's house without fail every year during chinese new year... its during this gathering that i will get to see the people that i haven't seen for ages... anyway, it was very crowded and noisy this year as more people are there... so it was good... caught up with one another as to what each of us are doing currently... some of them went back montfort the past weeks... too bad i cant join them as i was working... i really wonder what montfort has changed since the last time i was there...

we did not go mrs thai's house like previous years though... so some of them went to have a meal... did not join them though as i need to go home to change and head down to downtown east to meet up with ak, huarong, alvin and waicheng... ak had tickets to an annual carlsberg dinner so invited us along... its really like a carlsberg D&D but catering more the to older people so it was a very cheena affair... and the chinese new year atmosphere added to the cheena-ness... but it was a good experience nonetheless...

the weekend was made even better by the fact that we finally broke our losing streak in the D2D league... we beat ventz 2-1 yesterday at bishan park secondary... considered out first real win in the league as our previous 2 victories were against corpus christi who are, well, one of the worst team we ever played against... so this victory meant more to us considering the fact that in most of the losses, we have actually played better than the opponents but still lose... even more satisfying was that i was part of a centre defence pairing with weizhong that kept them at bay, only conceding the goal due to some dubious refereeing... slowly finding my feet at centreback but my lack of pace on the turn continues to be a worry...

after the match, went home to wash up before meeting keyuan, yehshun, sinwah, xianyuan, aunpeng, choonkang for dinner before heading for a ktv session at kbox... vineson joined us a while later... well, it was an enjoyable session... full of crapping around... sang all the way till 2am before we make our way home... thank god im on off today...

Happy Chinese New Year people!!!! Lets us all Huat during this cow year!!!!

Fairprice campaign is finally over!!! like at last... one whole month of lucky draw finally ended... have a feeling satisfaction after this entire event finished as this can be considered the project that i get to handle some of the stuffs myself... but of coz the main decisions the difficult part of the project was still handled by derek and shawn... but i learnt new things from this event again... one thing is that im constantly learning new things, which can only be good for me... the fairprice finale also marks the end of the interns time at ogl... im sure gonna miss daphne and the rest of the interns... no one to pester me for designs and talk crap with me in office anymore... seeing them and hearing about the things they do always reminds me of one place... the one place that still lingers in my heart... mit club... the things they do and their bonds really make me wish i was still in SP and still doing things in club... i sometimes really wonder how things are in club now... its sure hard to forget that place... well anyway, here's wishing all the best to all the interns... will sure miss u peeps...

after the fairprice event on saturday, went down to causeway point to meet up with qiuhui before proceeding down to timbre for stephanie's aka fatimah farewell gathering... haven't seen them for quite a long time... especially qiuhui... the last time was like before i ord??? well, the gathering was great and we played some games from our old days... thats how one reminisce the good ol' days ya...

sunday morning, mahjong yet again with keyuan, sinwah and xianyuan at yehshun place... really crazy... they wanted to play before reunion dinner so i feng pei... played till around 5 before everyone rushed home for dinner...

chinese new year visiting was same as usual... nothing interesting really... except that i met alot of relatives that i never met before on my father's side... making me feel a little bit lost... other than that, it was always the same old questions being diverted at you...

well apparently, i learnt today that i did something wrong last sat during the event... derek say he will talk to me next week... i think i can guess what is it already though... but im gonna stand firm on my stance this time round coz that was what exactly the thing that happened... so who knows, i might be out of a job soon =)

woot... mean mia for quite a while... this is like turning into a monthly update thing... which is not very good... shall try to update more but muz have interesting things to update first...

tomorrow night is setup for fairprice grand finale which is happening on sat at amk hub... finally the whole thing is coming to an end.. i wouldn't exactly say im glad that the event is finally ending... there will surely be a few things that i will miss... especially wednesday's draw at the various locations... wednesday is always spend out out of office and that is a damn good thing... although facing the aunties isn't... i can safely say after this event that aunties are the worst bunch of people to deal with... they can think of 101 questions or complains as to why they didn't win in the lucky draw... really is arghhhh!!!!! well, i personally hope the grand prize winners on saturday aren't those people who always give troubles...

went shopping for new year clothes with yehshun, xinwah, xianyuan and yaoxing on sunday... it was quite a bad day man... i didn't manage to get any tees or polo shirt that i liked... only managed to get 2 shirts which bought more for work... that sucks... dinner was at fish & co as i had $30 vouchers to be used... don't know why this year no many clothes caught my eyes... i also manage to get a pair of jeans from levis yesterday... exchange my old pair of jeans for a 50 bucks discount... damn worth it... but still no top!!!

this weekend gonna be a busy weekend... event on sat afternoon is followed by a dinner function at night... then on sunday morning, mahjong session before reunion dinner... cant wait for the long break!!!

Happy belated new year everyone!!! its another new year again... its really amazing how time passes so fast... a new year, hope it will be a new beginning for me as well...

spend the past few days out with friends... met up with yiboon, yaolong and yuwen for dinner on new year eve... didn't plan to actually go out on that day as i was working till quite late and wanted to go home and rest... but since i haven't met yiboon they all for quite a while so why not... had dunner at sushi don at funan before chilling at starbucks... then walked over to city hall area to take in the fireworks before making our way home...

on new year day... met up with chewling, michelle, dom, yg, joe and willy for dinner... had aston at The Cathay again... second time in 1 week that i ate aston... it was a good gathering, celebrated dom's birthay at the same time as well... the celebration was quite funny as another table of people was also celebrating their friend's birthday... so we sort of like mix the celebration together... really the kind of things that we used to do in poly... then the usual, gave yg and willy their long overdued presents as well...

i finally got my new comp built yesterday... keyuan and yehshun came down to my house yesterday morning and helped me strip my old comp and bring it down to sim lim... reusing my casing... the new rig costs me 900 bucks... meaning i broke already!!! but it was worth it all... finally i can play games again... after which, was mahjong at yehshun's house!!!

going back to work next week... i think i will feel damn sianz coz i been on a long break since thursday... now that 2008 has ended, its really time to recap on what kind of year 2008 has been for me...

2008 can be considered to be quite a great year for me... plenty of things happen throughout the year... there were both good and bad of coz but i can say that the good far outscore the bad... many interesting events happened as well... the first of which was Exercise Cope Tiger 08 in thailand... chosen as part of the detachment to go there for this 2 weeks exercise and i am glad to say i enjoyed my time day and it was quite a fulfilling experience for me... not to mention the experience of taking the C-130 as well as the Fokker F50... so that's definitely one of the highlight for me this year...

after which was all the usual stuffs until my taiwan trip in july!!! oh man, enjoy myself to the max there and it was even better with the companionship of great friends... taiwan is a place that i wanted to go for some time and it was really great that i finally went there... the place is definitely like what many people is saying... people are friendly, food is nice, scenery is nice and the girls are pretty!!! LOL... it was so nice that i think i am probably going back again this year...

then there was the day that every males so eagerly waited for... O.R.D!!! finally got back my pink IC and it was back to being a civilian again... 2 years of giving my time to the nation finally ended... that day can surely be counted as one of the happiest day in my life...

after around 1 month of slacking after the pink day, it was time for me to join the workforce... got myself a job as an events exe at SPH MediaBoxOffice... where im still at still... joining the working society definitely was challenge at first as i was still trying to switch my mentality... im constantly learning things everyday and im sure these things will be useful to be in the future...

so looking back, 2008 has been a good year for me and i hope 2009 will be as well... with that, it means it time to make some new year resolutions... so without further ado, my resloutions for 2009:

1. Pass IPPT when my window opens in may
2. Start to get my driving license
3. Participate in at least 1 half marathon, likely to be AHM
4. Get a stable job if i did not get extended after my contract
5. Lose weight!
6. Above all, lead a fulfilling 2009!!!

yep, i will TRY my best to hit these resolutions... hopefully im still self-disciplined enough...

Second last day of 2008

oh my god... its been around 1 month since i last updated... been damn busy with work... Sweet Christmas @ Orchard just finished last weekend and im now currently involved in the NTUC Strike It Big Campaign for chinese new year... so most of my weekends are gone... but its been fun doing these events especially with a bunch of fun-loving people...

in the midst of all these events, i managed to find some time to meet up with alvin, ak, waicheng and lynn last saturday... had lunch over at Aston @ The Cathay... they got me christmas gifts but i felt bad that i didn't get anything for them as i was really damn busy with work to do any shopping at all... i really wanted to get something but i just couldn't find the time... i worked till late evening during christmas eve when everybody else had half day... thats the life of doing events i guess... haha... but it was a good gathering nonetheless... it was short but it was fun when it lasted... after which, i had to rush over to rivervale mall for ntuc again...

keyuan came back from his europe trip like 3 weeks ago... which means my Manchester United away kit is here!!! thanks bro for helping me to get it... now all i need is to bring to a stall in singapore to get Scholes name and the champions badge printed on the back...

on the D2D league front, Montforto went through a week of high before hitting a low last weekend... the previous weekend, we set the highest scoring win in the league by hitting 10 past FC Corpus Christi with no reply from them... 10-0 was the final score and it could and should have been more if our strikers have been more sharp in front of goal... and the sharpness in front of goal came back to haunt us last weekend when we took on redbacks, hoping to avenge our 5-3 defeat in the first game... but alas, it was not to be as we were beaten 4-1... the score definitely did not reflect on the game yet again... we controlled the match throughout the game and had the majority of the possession and chances... even though we score first, they hit back with 3 goals through bad refereeing decisions and naive defending... try as we might, we just couldn't get back in the second half as we kept missing chance after chance... its really frustrating when you know that you are the better team throughout but still lose... we really need to improve our sharpness and finishing in front of goal... so after 5 games, we won 2 and lost 3... we really need to improve if we hope to finish among the top 2 this season... up next is apex rangers, the top team in the league this weekend!!!

sweet christmas has finally ended... my so called first project with mbo as i was involved from the start to the finish especially in the buildup process... really wanna thank everyone who was part of the event... especially since i was new and know next to nothing about most of the buildup process... really appreciate their tolerance when i require them to explain the things to me... i learn alot from this event and hopefully, it will go on and help me in future!!!

my future is still up in the air... i sure hope it will be cleared come end january... really a period of uncertainty for me...

i finally got a long rest this week from new year day onwards till next monday... gonna spend the time catching up with some of my friends and also getting my new comp built on friday!!! finally after so long, i can start gaming again!!!

haven update the blog for like a few weeks already... been damn busy with setup and the entertainment at orchard... Sweet Christmas @ Orchard is finally underway!!! really feel a sense of achievement after everything was built finished man... this is my first project that i was so called very involved in the planning of the setup... really learnt alot during this entire process but there are still plenty of things to learn and its really hard to cramp so many things into my brain in such a short period of time...

its gonna be a busy month as well... think i will be working during christmas eve and new year eve as there is an event going on during that period... guess this is really what i have to bear with if i want to do events... another thing is that my contract is ending this month... i don't know what my future is at mbo but hopefully, i can continue to work and learn there...

i met up with my poly classmates last wednesday night for dinner... been ages since i last saw them... as a matter of fact, its been ages since i last see most of my frens... anyway, got to know that all of them are studying now except jaster and me... i really wish to study again but not so soon i guess... need to save up and also decide what i want to study... anyway, i went off after dinner for setup again..

watching channel 8 now... its reshowing yi tian tu long ji... woot... meaning jia jing wen as zhao min is back!!! she's damn pretty la!!!

i have alot of questions for myself but i cant seem to find the answers to it...

Was working last saturday. that day was The Sunday Times Food tour. meaning although i was working, i get to enjoy the perks of eating and enjoying as well... first stop was lunch at Braise at sentosa palawan beach... it was fine dining, meaning all the food came in quite a small portion... but the cod that i had for main course was good... too bad i forgot to take some photographs... after lunch, we made our way to the Singapore Flyer!!! first up was a wine appreciation session... after which the group was divided into 2 groups... first group went for massage while the second group went to take the flyer... after which they swopped... i went for the flyer on the second trip... it was my first time on the Singapore Flyer and i get to go for free!!! the sights was nice although the construction was quite an eyesore... im sure the skyline would look better than night as i went at around 5 plus in the evening... after which, dinner was at Xiyan in chinatown... i did not stay for dinner though as i rushed off to meet up with a group of friends...

this group was ak, alvin, waicheng, lynn and huarong!!! haven seen most of them since the taiwan trip... met up as ak is finally back home for his holidays... dinner was at Charlton Hotel's cafe vic and the bill was foot by ak... thanks bro!!! it was a nice and relaxing session where we really caught up with one another and of course reminiscing the times we had in taiwan... i wanna go back there again and the rest was keen as well... im sure we will be heading there again sometimes soon... after dinner was slacking session at starbucks...

sunday was out 3rd league game... went into the game hoping to finally get our first win in the league... and win we did... 5-1 the final score against corpus christi... seriously though, the score could have and should been more... no disrespect to the opponents but they really are not our match at all... if not for some wayward finishing and poor decisions making, we could easily have broke the 10 goals mark... i was guilty of missing a few good chance as well... well anyway, a win is a win and hopefully we can build on this victory and go on a streak...

i committed a great mistake today and im still feeling damn bad over it... haiz... seriously beginning to doubt my ability...

last sunday was our second league match at yiochukang stadium... we lost the tie 3-4... 2nd loss in the row... not exactly a bright start to the season... but just like the previous game, we nearly come back after going 3-0 down in the first half... we again outscored the opponents in the second half... no all we need to do is to learn how to stop conceding stupid goals and we will be ok... i have to put my hand up for some of the goals that we conceded over the 2 matches... still finding my feet when being played at centre back as im not used to playing with a high line... will try to improve further!!! the loss means that we are second from bottom with 2 losses... the team below us is the team we are playing this week and they have conceded 14 goals in 2 games... on paper, we should be able to beat them... but lets not be complacent...

monday night went for dinner with my colleagues as several of my colleagues are leaving the company... went to sakura buffet at yio chu kang... then after that, they propose to go ktv so i went along but i didn't expect to stay till 1+!!! damn shagged... even more shagged when i went to work the next day...

gonna be a damn busy month for me with the christmas event at orchard to take care off... just hope that everything can be done smoothly for the buildup... and i dunno what has happen to me... i used to talk with confidence back then but now, i just cant seem to find that confidence to talk to people... maybe ns really has a detrimental effect on one... or maybe becoz i sort of scared as i feel like people won't really bother about what i say coz im juz a small fry... whatever the reason, i really need to find the confidence back or im in deep shit for this project...

and i think that i have been working too much that i have lost touch with the world... i didn't even know ak was back until alvin told me juz now!!! i need to figure out how to achieve WORK LIFE BALANCE!!!!

end of one but beginning of another

finally the panasonic tradeshow is over... that is one really irritating project... maybe coz of the things that im supposed to do... the rsvp part is really cock la... shan't comment much except the fact that alot of redundant things were done...

anyway, worked till pretty late during the last week... especially on wednesday when i stayed until 12.30am for the setting up... the whole event totally reminds me of the days in poly when we stayed till late almost everyday to get ready for events... how i miss those fun times... but the feeling is different as compared to last time as this time is really more work den fun... it was really an exhausting 3 days... stayed a while for the teardown as well on saturday... u see everything do up nice nice den within a few hour, everything is reduced to broken pieces... but it marks the end of my first event although i was involved in the planning of this event, i was involved in the most irritating part of it(rsvp)...

it was really an exhausting event... thank got for the off day today although i would have preferred to be off yesterday but better than nothing la...

didn't take much photos, but got a few shots of the 150 inch plasma screen, biggest in the world...

its going to be a hectic end of the year for me with several more events coming up...

thank god today is public holiday... don't have to go back to work... really don't feel like going back to work... the stupid tradeshow that is causing me so much misery is finally happening this week and hopefully after this week, i won't have to hear about it every again... but that is end of the week... there is still plenty of things to do tomorrow and wednesday before the event starts on thursday... the previous week was really a hectic one... i really got to thank linette and daphne for their help from monday to thursday in calling the people and also isabel n junwei on friday... i think without their help, i would have died calling people and without getting anything done at all... lets hope the next 2 days we can get everything done so that the event can finally go on on thursday... it also means im working this weekend as well... i wonder whether i have to stay for the teardown on saturday... that is one query im going to put across...

yesterday was our first every league match in the d2d league... not exactly a dream start as we lost 3-5 to a team called redbacks... quite a learning experience for our first game although the scoreline don't really reflect on the way we played... almost all the goals they scored were results of some mistakes... we were actually dominating them in the first half but once they scored the first through a defensive error, they scored again thru another error... really unlucky... the third was my mistake as i stumbled allowing the striker to turn me... we managed to pull one back before they scored another thru a free kick... 1-4 when we went in at half time... i was playing centreback for this game and was really quite lost for a few periods in the game as i wasn't really used to playing in a high line... second half we tried to mount a comeback and we managed to chase to 3-4 before they scored the fifth with another defensive error... i pulled my hamstring early into the second half and had to come off... damn, i learned my lesson of not stretching during half time... think this injury gonna keep me out of this week's game... well, we definitely learned alot from this game and hopefully, we will all continue to grow as a team...

can we have monday as off days every week??? i think that is an excellent idea... haha...

Long time since i last update... really too busy with work nowadays... working late almost everyday coz got big events coming up... in fact, i think im overworked... they were suppose to hire 2 temps but now only got 1 which is me... so in fact im doing 2 persons' work... and one of the most ridiculous things ever, call 1000+ pple all by myself!!! WTF... i didn't know my job scope includes being a telemarketeer... i voiced over this matter and all i received was, this is my job... wtf... that wasn't what it was told to me... argh... fuck it man...

anyway, went genting with some of my sec sch frens last weekend... had a great weekend there... spend our time in the casino most of the time... damn, if i hadn't been so impulsive, i would have won some money as well... well, at least i didn't lose alot so thats good... quite an experience coz it was my first time in a casino... but anyway, the 2 days there was great but coming back sucks as we were stuck in a jam in KL and at the second link as well...

and Montforto is coming to get you people starting from this sunday 5pm onwards when we will play our first league match at canberra secondary... after talking about it and with the thinking that we should give it a shot while we are still young, we decided to join an amateur sunday league@ http://www.d2dsports.com ... Montforto was formed as a result of a merger between our team HPY and sepoys which was darric's brother team... so, sunday represent our first game under this new name... really looking forward to this league... although i know that with such a big squad now, i won't get to play every week, its the experience that counts...

finally its friday tomorrow... but i still have shitload of phonecalls to make... so nothing to be happy about... extend me beyond the 2 months??? i really have to think about it...

today was my first day of work at SPH mediabox... an events branch of sph... and can you believe it, first day only and i worked OT!!! somemore the OT hours not OT pay coz i only start today and not the whole week... crap man... guess there's many more OTs to come in my 2 months contract... but it will most prob be extended to 3 months according to my supervisor but i really have to seriously consider the extension coz of 1 reason, the pay... i being paid peanuts really... can divulge how much coz of my contract but its really meagre... i just took up the job coz it was an events job and maybe i can learn something from it and of coz, im broke... so if the company wants me for that extra 1 month, i will definitely ask for an increment in my pay... if not, its adios... but i learn alot already even though its only my first day... some of my weekends gonna be burnt as well but if i manage to learn some stuffs from those burnt weekends, i would think its worth it...

haven blogged any outing recently so shall input this entry regarding last sat... went to Manhattan Fish Market @ Central for dinner with the usual gang of MIT peeps... shermian, stef, jeremy, shawn, cx, james, leon, shuping, chalk, alvin and myself... went there coz of the discount coupons we got from out last visit there... after dinner was a chilling session at coffee club... its really nice to hear how everyone is doing now... those working and of coz those enjoying themselves serving the nation now... its feels really damn great to have these kind of chilling sessions...

one more day to the weekend!!! now, i sounds like someone who is working... anyway, im going Genting next weekend with some mates from my team... but in the meantime, we got a match to win this sunday!!!

Saturday was the gathering of both side of the red armies... what could be bigger than man utd vs liverpool!!! its the day where all the guys will gather round and support their favourite team and hope that by the end of the day, the bragging rights will be with their favourite team...

so it was no different for us all, the football enthusiasts... the place, nick's house... dinner was all prepared by the guys... so it still proves that guys can cooked... and they cooked up a storm of baked pastas, shepherd pie's, fried chicken, cheese cake etc... yours sincerely bought the beer to go along with it... it was a great evening of catching up... but it wasn't a great evening for man utd fans as we lost!!! what a shite performance from the lads... so the bragging rights return to liverpool fans after 4 long years... well, i guess you got to let the opposition bragged once in a while... night ended at around 3am for me and it was followed up with soccer the next morning... good times but definitely shag times...

im starting work tml... found a job through agency as an event co-ordinator at safra... ord-ed and i find myself associated with saf again... well, im looking forward to what i have to do for the job to be honest... i really hoped that its what i hoped it will turned out to be... its a 3 month contract so i hoped i can learn something during these 3 months and maybe prove myself worthy enough to be offered a perm position... and if rather unfortunately i should not like it there, its only 3 months and the income from this 3 months is definitely welcome... so tonight ends my slacking period and tomorrow its time to get to work!!!

Its 5th september, which represent pink friday which means O - R - D LOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! as it is pink friday, today entry shall be in pink! which is quite gay but i don't care!!!!

2 years ago on 7th sep 2006, i enlisted into BMTC Sch 2 as a chao recruit... Ulysses company was my home for 3 long months... after which, a week of heaven in AFS awaits me before i was given a rude awakening in Chong Pang Camp when i was posted to 160 SQN as an Air Defence Weapon Operator... 26th dec 2006, boxing day, the day 21st ADWO 35mm AA Gun Course was born... that 3 months was a nightmare... i will never forget the endless nights of pushing in the equipments, all the chin-up regime, all the runs around the hangars, all the deployments drills and the nights we spend outfield... it was a very tough 3 months... and after which, we finally pass out as full fledge gunners... unit life soon follow... the endless servicings and saikangs that were part and parcel of being an alpha one gunner... and soon, Exercise Kujarra III life firing in australia... being the most junior of the 4 platoons there, we went, we saw and we conquered... Best Fire Unit was ours to keep until the next life firing... it was a terrific experience... next, Excercise Cope Tiger follow... the FCE crew spending 2 fulfilling weeks in thailand... guess i one of the lucky few that get to go for 2 overseas exercises and those memories will stay on with me forever... C-130 and Fokker F-50... not many can have the chance to experience rides in this 2 RSAF aircrafts... though we would have a break but alpha one never rest... god knows how many exercises, outfields and deployments we have been to... we surely has clocked more than enough exercises in out ns life... and then finally, it was time for us to leave the place that we reluctantly call home for the last 1 year and 9 months... QingYan, Jeremy and Alvin were the first to go followed by AnnAik, EdwinAng and ZhongZhi... 6 of them left early... leaving the 12 of us to last the last 1 month in squadron... then finally, our day has come and that is today!!!

to 21st ADWO, you guys will always be part of my life... thanks for making my life in 160 squadron such an entertaining one... without you guys, life in 160 would have been hell... i will treasure all the time that we spend together... to people whom i have offended through my actions and words, i apologize... whatever i said and do was all in the heat of the moment i mean no ill intent... to all the commanders and specs be it old or new, thanks for imparting the knowledge to us and thanks for accompanying me through these 2 years... 21st ADWO, take care guys and all the best in whatever you guys do... those who are studying, study hard, those who are working, work hard but dont forget in the midst of studying and working, play hard as well... all the best guys and thank you!!!

feeling damn sianz now... reason being, tomorrow going outfield... exercise golden ring... zzz... thought of it really made me sick!!!but what to do... its not like i can say i don't want to go... really tempted to report sick... zzz...

anyway, met up with siyu, sq, junhao, shuping and nut for dinner yesterday... good to see the guys doing well in army... hope most of them get their wish and get into ocs...

had a match today at ang mo kio sec... played against bernard's friend team... won 2-1... seriously i got no idea why we did not win by a big margin... out finishing and final ball was damn bad today... guess most of us were rusty from not playing on the field for a long time... well, a win is a win... so yep, another win in out records... but we really should be playing against better opponents...

1 month!!! to be exact, its 31 days more!!! and 31 minus away 4 weekends, 4 days of leaves, 6 days of off means i only left 13 freaking days left in sqn!!! and out of this 13 days, 2 days go outfield for exercise golden ring which is stupid... last month of service still go outfield and add to that, i need to do guard duty this wednesday!!! WTF!!! well, im gonna just do for them and hopefully, i can ord in peace...

uni students all starting school today... i seriously wish i was back in school together with them... i definitely miss schooling and the campus life that comes with it... a few of my platoon mates went for NTU's orientation camps and hearing about the fun they had and the friends they made... it made me want to go back again... im glad that i had a colourful and vibrant poly campus life and i definitely missed all the camps, all the events and all the fun we had... i think only regret in poly is that i did not study hard enough to get a place in one the uni... studying private is definitely not the same as private uni doesn't have the campus life that ntu, nus have... so ya, wishing all my friends who have started their school sem good luck... study hard and play hard guys...

been spending quite alot of money recently... i finally got 2 of the items on my wishlist... finally got my crumpler complete seed and my adidas powerserves boots... which means, im broke!!! this week's paycheck will be the last one i will be getting from the SAF which also means that from september onwards, i will have to eat grass!!! got to find a job soon man... i've updated my wishlist which means there are many things i wanna get so i need money... hope i find a job soon...

time for some updates... wanted to update during the weekend but didn't have the time... met up with the mit juniors on saturday... saw the recruits and their botak hairstyles... haha... there was a huge turnout on that day... went to central's manhattan fish market for dinner... after which, went to the singapore night festival at dhoby ghaut... it was nice seeing all of them again... everyone living different life now so it was great to be able to gather together...

caught The Dark Night on sunday with michelle, yaoguang and dominic at pasir ris cathay... its a damn nice show man... Heath Ledger certainly left a legacy around with his wicked portray of the joker in the show... it was a damn good piece of acting by him... his acting really was a the catalyst that lited up the show... otherwise, the show would be a bit down for me... a show definitely worth watching... and to my rainbow friends... thanks for the present yea... i liked it alot...

yesterday was our platoon ORD bbq chalet for the operators... its like finally that our time is going to come... keep saying "ord lo" in the past few months and now we can really say it for real... anyway... there was a huge turnout at our bbq yesterday... even our CO made an appearance with all the PSOs... wow... we feel so much like a bigshot yesterday man... the bbq was great with food, the cam-whoring, the funny banter and jokes...

strain hamstring

everytime i walk i feel as if my hamstring gonna break anytime... strained my hamstring last friday when playing soccer at the futsal court at east coast park... its been quite a while since i last played soccer and the rustiness showed... and i strain my hamstring when i was reaching in for a tackle... damn painful whenever i straighten my left leg now...

stayed at home the whole day on sat to look after my brother... then yesterday, dunno why suddenly keyuan decided want to play bball... went down but didn't play much coz of my hamstring... after bball, some of us decided to go k box since most of us got nothing on... so keyuan, sinwah, chinhwa, yehshun, yaoxing and me went to hougang plaza after that and we sang till 1am before going for supper at 401...

its less than 2 months to ord but they aren't going to let me go in peace like i said before... golden ring was supposed to be last week but now, they have postponed it to the second week of august... that is like 3 weeks before i ord la... WTF... seriously, its stupid... i should be clearing my off and leaves during that period and start my job hunting... but nooooooooooo... i have to go for exercise... WTF... seriously... everything is so screwed up...

so the countdown continued... 45 days more to go... and how i wished that 45 days passed faster...

am back from taiwan for a few days already... it was a great place to go and im missing it already... i
wanna go back there again...

on the first day, we reached taipei at around 6 plus in the evening... proceeded to take the bus to our hotel in ximending... we stayed at rainbow hotel which is right smack in the middle of ximending... good times man... the first night nothing much... just stayed in ximending and walked around...

second day, we made our way to longshan temple in the morning to take a look and pray at the same time... after which, we made our way to wufenpu... that place is really a heaven for the ladies man... alvin, ak and me spend a while walking around there before we left the ladies to their spree while we make our way to the IT street in guanghua... the computer stuffs prices doesn't really differ much from singapore... after finishing that area, we still had time to spend before meeting up with the ladies so we went sogo to walk around... after which, met up with the ladies before proceeding to raohe night market... decided that the raohe night market doesn't have much stuffs so we decided to make our way to shihlin night market... thats where all the delicious stuffs is... tucked in to alot of the delicious food over there before proceeding over to the shopping area...

third day... made our way to beitou for hotspring bath... went to those room type one and not really to my expectations la but its still something ya... after which, we made our way to danshui and then took a bus to fisherman wharf or yu ren ma tou as they called it... the sights there is very nice and we walked across the lovers bridge... went to danshui old street after that where we had our dinner and bought some stuffs there... after which, we headed down to miramar where the ferris wheel is located... quite troublesome to go there as the shuttle bus ride is quite a distance... took the ferris wheel... though not as big as the singapore flyer, it was still quite an experience... bought a pair of adidas sneakers that was on discount there as well...

fourth day... morning was spend around ximending area... saw that lollipop and luo zhi xiang was having some events in the area... they cordon off the road just for him man... really big shot... then went to xin guang san yue at zhongshan... wanted to walked the zhongshan underground mall but for dunno what reason, the whole place was closed... so we decided to make and early trip to taipei 101... the tallest building in the world... we made our way to the top and we were lucky the weather was good so we managed to go outside... the view from there is simply breathtaking especially at night... after which, we made our way to shihlin yet again for our dinner and some last minute shopping... after going back to hotel to bath, went to ktv for singing session until morning...

last day nothing much... walked around ximending as we wait for our bus to the airport... reached singapore quite late in the night... and thats it for our taiwan trip... photos will be up when i got hold of everything...

and i met up with shawn, sq, nut and samantha for dinner on tuesday night... the guys are enlisting so thought having dinner with them before they enlist... well take care and have fun in tekong guys... welcome to serving the nation...

feeling damn sick for the past 1 week... flu has been going on for 1 whole week with no signs of recovering while my asthma is starting to come back after a year's absence... damn... and the worst thing is, when im suppose to rest during the weekends and off days, im watching euro 2008... haha... that i think is one of the reason for the slow recovery... and the worst thing is, i got ces guard next week!!! meaning slping in damn freaking cold conditions... wonder whether i would really peng after that...

i always like to tell my juniors dun assume too much and in the end, i made the same mistake as well... for those who dunno, assume means making an ass out of u and me... i made the wrong assumption that bersame shield would be our last exercise before we can fuck off from that cursed place... but i was wrong!!! we have one more exercise to go in july... ex golden ring... fuck... so what happen to all the promises of bersame being our last exercise and us being able to relax after that??? thanks alot man... guess empty promises are what commanders like to do... and what can we do??? LLST... lan lan suck thumb... add to that, we still gonna do ces guard in july and the gunners have to support rsaf open house 1 week before we ord... how fun is that... the next thing they gonna tell me is we hav to do guard duty in august!!! ok... rant over... now u know why we cant wait to get our of that unit...

met up with chewling, michelle, joe, yaoguang and willy today for lunch at hougang... went to compasspoint after that as joe needed to change his sim card... den we went to yakun to chill out... we are really turning old if we start saying kids these days... haha...

2 more weeks to taiwan and 74 more days to go...

Sick

it sucks to fall sick on your off days... falling sick means u cant do anything except to stay at home... sucks man... this is how i waste my 2 days of off... fell sick after i came back from the kelong trip...

talking about the kelong trip, went to a kelong off malaysia with shuxiang & gf, kevin, hongyi, jonathan, hanyong and jinfeng & gf... the trip was good... it was a very good place to relax and get away from all the stress and problems in your life... i basically went there to relax while most of them went there to fish... it was very fun seeing them fish... dinner was good as it it was a seafood dinner with steamboat and crabs... at night we were just sitting by the sea and enjoying the cool breeze and talking crap... it was definitely a good experience... everyone shuld try going there for once... the living conditions may not be good but the scenery and experience there is good...

leaving for taiwan in around 2 weeks time!!! woot... cant wait...

turned 22 yesterday... wow... time really passes very fast... and very soon i will be out of army and into civilian life... ORD is something that all singapore males look forward to... but what do i do after ORD... now that is one tough question... waicheng asked me that question and i was stumped... i said im most probablyy going to work... not going to study??? now that is the thing that is really making my mind very confused... i know that in singapore, a degree is a must to so called survive in the society... but i have seriously no idea what to study and after 2 long years of break... asking me to get back to being a student is damn hard... which is why i hate army... this 2 years break in our life is really uncalled for... well, for now, i got 3 more months to think about my future...

met up with chewling, michelle, joe, willy and yaoguang on saturday for dinner... been quite sometimes since i last saw them... it was a great catching up session... after dinner, suppose to go shopping for joe and my birthday present... they ran out of ideas what to buy for us so ask us buy ourselves... but i got no idea but i want as well!!! so in the end, thay ask me to think about what i want then we will go get it the next time we meet up...

had a match on sunday... its been ages since we last played on a field... match this time was at VJC against nigel's friends... VJC's pitch was astroturf and i seriously hate playing on turf grounds... this time round, we got owned big time... 6-1 was the score... we got to admit, the opponents were damn good... we were seriously outclassed in every department... that match was really a good lessons for all of us and we are left to reflect on our performances... definitely the worst performance ever...

been on off for this 2 days... but my mind been bogged with alot of stuffs...

long weekend cut short by guard duty on saturday... but i kinda used to it already... whenever there is time to take a break or go on off, there will surely be duty and something will sure crop up... well, whatever... 2 more months of duty and thats it...

was out with angela, yuling, darrell, benjamin and jaster yesterday... been quite a while since i last saw them... went to marina sq... played arcade abit then wait for yuling to come before going to catch a movie... watched Made of Honour... the movie to my surprise, was good... i wasn't really expecting much from this movie as i thought its gonna be just another romantic comedy... but it was really a good movie... Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan really make a very good pairing... it really makes you think whether your best friend beside you is the one in your life???

Meritocracy... what do everyone understand by that... meritocracy is a system in which the talented are chosen and moved ahead on the basis of their achievement... but is that really the case??? i really dont think so... look at all the organisations today... are pple really promoted or rewarded based on their talents??? i don't think so... people who get promoted are always those who "wayang" their way through, backstabbed people to climb over people and smoking their way through... but i guess that is life nowadays yea... the only thing those people can now do is to put down their hatred and continue to do the things they are suppose to do and hope that one day people will recognise their efforts... which is why i hate people who are handed responsibilities but yet their do not uphold them... instead, they complained and "siam" their way through... so after the rewards, hey can dont need to do fulfill their tasks???

im sure by now everyone would have known about the natural disasters in both myanmar and china... it really tells us not to take things for granted here in singapore... people there are struggling with their lifes now and yet people here are still not satisfied with their life... spare a thought for the people there... i seriously wonder what will happen to singapore should we be hit by a natural disaster like a cyclone or earthquake although i know that is not gonna happen... let us all be contented with what with have while we take a moment to think about the people in china and myanmar

around this time last year, we went for our maiden ops exercise and now 1 year later, we have come back from our last ops exercise... and coincidentally, both exercise was Ex Bersama Shield... so yep, we have finally completed one full year cycle... i have already lost counts of the number ops that we have went... but that doesn't matter now coz we have already went for our last one and now its time to O.R.D!!! 4 more months!!!

our last exercise also let us see alot of bad sides of this organisation... to them, results is more important than anything else... even more important than the lives of their men... you got people still standing by in their equipment even though its raining and there's lightning all around... and we are on top of a hill mind you... and i seriously hate those who always come and go as they please and all they do is pick on all the small little things... these people have the luxury of sitting in aircon office and when they decided to lift up their butts and come for a short "outfield"... they create all kinds of problems for you with all the nagging and unhappiness at every small little things you do... and after slogging for 5 days out in the field, what do we get??? half day off today... hahahaha... poor results they say... how do you expect to give you results when the fucking visibility in the sky was almost none and the fucking radar wasn't even working properly???

cant be bothered anymore... its our last exercise and i feel that everyone of us put in our best efforts in this exercise already... so guys, we did well and what we can look forward to now is the 3 magical letters!!!

its been ages since i have updated... life has been quite busy recently... first there was combat shoot... miss out on marksman by alot of shots... its really damn tough at night... i still one more try though... so will try again... then there was cadets tryout... damn sianz... senior platoon already still have to support officers' cadets tryout... tot that is only something the junior platoon should do... well, at least we dun have to support their sumex...

A5 has started their training to become the nxt batch of ADWOs to take over us... cant wait for them to pass out man... then its time for us to handover to them and can officially "pang kang"... and the time hass also come for me to clear my large number of off days... will be on off on every monday of this month except for tml coz FCE crew has to go back and do something... damn sianz... why FCE always got things to do... well, give and take i guess...

will be going on my long awaited taiwan trip in july with ak and gang... but i forgot that my passport was going to expire thus causing the delay in booking the air tickets... sorry guys... hope my passport will be ready by nxt week...

woohoo!!! PKE and AR cleared!!! PKE test was easier than i thought and i got 2 questions wrong if im not wrong... AR was a breeze... 100%!!! now can breathe easier after these 2 tests... nothing much to worry about really... left with Bersama Shield in may and maybe if im lukcy enough, i will get to go for Exercise Pitch Black in australia in june... but the chances of going to that exercise is slim unless the other platoon screwed up during this week's golden ring...

but a bombshell was dropped on us later in the week... turns out we have to support the cadets' tryout... yea right, so much so for no more outfields until bersama shield eh... i think we can never believe what our pc said anymore... there goes my plans of clearing my large number of offs on that week... well, u can nvr take anything for certain in the army... you never know when they will stun you with something...

our understudies coming soon!!! 1st april... what a date... it will be the day 23rd ADWO is coming into 160 sqn... cant wait for them to come in... it represents the ray of light for us... coz it means we a step closer to the 3 magical letters!!! they should be having their block leave now.... better enjoy it before stepping into hell...

went to the cage@kallang again yesterday for a soccer session with my sqn pple... its was a great session but its too expensive!!! cant we just find a court outside and play... went to mac for lunch later before sgt chan send us home!!!

finally ADPT is finished... we did an excellent job during the assessment i would say... i think we surprise all the regulars and even ourselves with our deployment speed... considering the fact that we only had 15 fighting fit operators and 2 more on status when the normal estab is 24 fighting fit operators, we did a hell of a job out there... and everyone fully deserves the offs given to us... seriously, our Best Firing Unit tag is not for show only... we have shown alot of times that we are fully deserving of that tag from our performances in various exercises... so its left with 1 more exercise... exercise bersama shield in may before its time to countdown to the 3 magical letters... O.R.D... 180 more days to go!!!

next week going to be quite an important week for me... will be taking my annual PKE(professional knowledge exam) test on tuesday.... cannot afford to fail that man... then on wed will be our annual AR(aircraft recognition) test... also cannot fail one... not that confident for PKE but im actually confident of getting full marks for AR... well, wish me all the best for the 2 tests... i dont wanna sign extras!!!

this month not many days for me to clear off coz the week after next, there is ICS to be done, guard duties etc... so i guess i have to clear my so many days of off in the first week of april!!!

finally had our ORA recall yesterday... finally got it over and done with... so now its left with ADPT next week and ex bersama shield in may and then its all over... by then, i can finally look forward to ORD!!!

we more or less guessed that they will be a recall yesterday so most of us were prepared for it... woke up early to wait for the phone call then rushed down straight away... but the fustrating thing yesterday was that it was raining till afternoon... damnit... if it nvr rain, we could have finish our system checks even earlier and no need to dragged until 5 plus 6... anyway, everything was pretty well done... and i think we deserve more credits den the so called registry people... anyway, after the recall went to chomp chomp to meet some of the mit peepz for dinner...

gonna be a tough week for us... hope everything can pass smoothly...

this week post gonna be from last week till now coz i only completed the cope tiger diary last week and did not post about the previous week...

so lets begin from valentine's day... valentine's day night was spent at the changi airport terminal 3... i was there together with the usual ICT gang to send one of us off... AK going over to australia to further his studies... and of all days to choose to fly he choose to fly on v-day... well, take care over in australia man... we will certainly miss you... lets hope our plans to meet up in taiwan materialises...

sat was SMIT Annual Dinner and Dance... most prob gonna be my last year attending... the event was at Meritus Mandrain... got to meet up with most of the peeps... the event was very well done and the turnout was great... a big clap on the back to the committee for a job well done... best ADD i've been to... after the ADD, went to catch the man utd arsenal FA cup game... after which went to eat before proceeding home...

my left wrist have been giving me alot of problems... apparently the injury has not healed completely which means im unable to do pullups... now that is bad as my second window has already open and i have yet to clear it... but how to clear with my wrist like tat... haiz... i've still been training for the ippt though but i just cant hang on the bar as the wrist simply hurts too much... and because of this, there is some issues that i cant say out here... all i can say is that, i hope my superiors will be more understanding of this instead of forcing me...

the next 2 weeks gonna be quite a hectic period... there's mockup for ADPT... dont ask me what it stands for as i got no idea as well... only thing i know is that its a accessment of our ops capabilites... the real ADPT will start on 3rd march all the way to 5th... and we are guessing that our ORA recall date is this sat 1st march... making it a damn busy 2 weeks... add to that, i still got my PKE exams to study... fail either means 2 extras or minus 2 days off... talk about busy... A5, our understudies are coming on the 1st of april... finally, out ray of light is here... once they are here, its a step closer to the magical 3 letters ORD!!! and my countdown timer shows less than 200 days more to ORD!!! woohoo...

Exercise Cope Tiger 08 diary

Flight
as i mentioned, we took a RSAF C-130 transport plane to thailand... ever seen banglahs squeeze into a lorry??? well, that can be said the same for us as we squeezed into a C-130... the flight was pretty uncomfortable due to the cramp space inside the cabin... there was hardly any space to move about at all... tried to sleep but it was hard really... it is really those experience that you experience one time and thats it you dont wanna experience it again...

Chandy Range
the flight to thailand took about 3 1/2 hours... reached there, had a lunch and boarded the bus for a 1 hour bus ride to Chandy Range... PC was there to greet us when we reached... went to our tentage and deployed our beds and settled in with our stuffs... after which, its to the container to unpack our stores and do our system checks...

Nights Out
we had our first nights out to town on the second day we were there... the town we went to was called Lopburi... went to a super market called Big C there... its the equivalent of our Carrefour as it really has whatever you want inside... had our dinner at MK restaurants which will in fact turn into our favourite restaurant as the food is cheap and good... the nights out was only for a while so nothing much to do really...

First Deployment
went out to deploy on the 3rd and 4th day for a mockup sortie... had our first outfield thai outfield experience... the night was damn freaking cold... had trouble sleeping...

R&R
5th and 6th day was our R&R in town!!! checked into Lopburi Inn in the morning after which was free and easy all the way... walked from the second circle to the 3rd circle and back... nothing much really and also we dunno how to walk and its hard to communicate with the people there... after which, we made plans to go to the night market... but before that, it was a trip to Monkey Mall... that place has everything as well... bought some clothes and some souvenirs there for my friends... and i got a few piece of adidas apparels from thailand again... then it was a trip to the night market... the night market was buzzling with plenty of things to buy... too bad we only had one night... it definitely wasn't enough to explore finish the entire night market... bought some stuffs there as well...

the next day was pretty relax... only went big c to shop around and then went back to hotel to wait to go back... we were going back early as after we reached base camp, we would change mood and straight away go outfield to deploy...

Outfield
well, nothing much to say for outfield... pretty the same things everyday... wake up do system check and wait for aircrafts to come... but the flying profiles were definitely something new... you get to see aircrafts flying those sort of ridiculous profiles here in singapore and using countermeasures like flares and chaffs...

Beer Call
beer call was an event where servicemen from all 3 nations, the states, sg and thailand get to mingle and interact with one another... did not attend though coz i stayed back at the FU to do equipment guard... well, since no one wanna volunteer, i had to do it...

Off-in-Lieu
after 4 days of outfield, there was a off in lieu on one day... went to town again... but this time round, it was pretty boring there as we had already been to almost everywhere that we can go there...

Outfield again
after the off, it was back to business outfield again... our results were not bad and CO was pretty happy about it when he came to visit us together with ADG commander...

Packing Up
finally get to ceased everything on the 14th day... went back base camp, packed everything into the containers and pushed in the PSUs... PC took us out to town for a last good dinner as we will be flying back to Singapore the next day...

Home Sweet Home
our ride back was in CAF's vip fokker f-50... it was something like a passenger plane so i had no complains... the ride back was around 4 hours... and it feels great to be back in singapore again!!!

Happy Chinese New Year

cope tiger post is only 1/4 completed im afraid... so pple u have to wait to hear abt the events in thailand... thought i could complete it during the chinese new year period but i was wrong... was simply too busy to update it...

was back in sqn on tues night... when i reached back camp, only edwin khoo was there as the rest had all run off for their nights out... typical of ek not to go out... all started coming back at around 11... it was great to see my platoon mates again after 2 weeks... wed morning was our sqn's chinese new year celebration... all must deck in red... which was bad as i hate to wear red so was force to wear my LTC2005 shirt... well, we did quite well at cope tiger and our OC and CO pretty happy about it... so thats something to be happy about... celebration was the usual stuffs again...

1st and 2nd day of the CNY was spent visitng as usual... nothing interesting... yesterday went visiting at mrs lee and mrs thai place than the night was spent at nick's house for a gathering... watched 2 movies with my platoonmates today... caught stephan chow's CJ7 and jay chou's Kungfu Dunk... CJ7 was ok... not really very fantastic but ok... the storyline was quite simple and lack punch for me... as for Kungfu Dunk, it was a total disappointment... poor plot and poor script... they would have been better off just adapting the entire story from slamdunk instead of taking bits and pieces...

off to camp tml morning as i got guard duty... will try to finish cope tiger post by nxt week...

Back from thailand

am finally back safe and sound from thailand... touched down singapore yesterday afternoon on a fokker f-50... it such a nice feeling to be back home... not that thailand is bad or what but the feeling of home is so much different... that finally concludes exercise cope tiger 08... it was a enriching experience over there... very much different from what we experience during K3... i enjoyed the experience over there and i will definitely treasure it... will go into details of the trip later in another post...

have to go back camp tonight as we have to attend the squadron's CNY celebration held tomorrow... will be lugging plenty of stuffs back...

in less than a days time, i will be onboard a C-130 heading towards thailand for exercise cope tiger 08... everything is packed and im all ready to go although i dun feel like going... booking in tonight as we will be going to paya lebar airbase from camp... gonna be a damn early day tomorrow for us... have to wake up at 4 plus and be on the bus at around 5 and reach PLAB at 6...

hope to have a safe trip there and that nothing major is going to happen there and let me come back in one piece to enjoy my cny... so bye peeps and take care... will be back on the 4th of feb...

Leaving on a C-130

lm leaving not on a jet plane but on a C-130 in 2 days time... for those who dunno how a C-130 look like, click here... and im coming back from thailand on the 4th of feb on a Fokker F-50... so i can be considered one of the lucky few NSFs to have to chance to experience a ride in 2 of the aircrafts in the singapore air force... and its gonna be one hell of a experience i think as the ride from here to thailand is going to take 4 hours!!! and its damn boring on the plane, no games to movies to watch, no pretty air stewardess, no nice cushion seats and you wont be able to sleep well coz the sound of the engine is too loud!!!

dunno why im not really eager to go for this exercise although this cope tiger exercise gonna be a major one which involves singapore, thailand and the united stated... as compared to the concluded K3 live firing, im really not that keen... maybe becoz its all about the results this time round... seriously when i heard the obejctives set for us by our OC, i was very upset... 100% splashes on all targets... say until its very easy... its gonna be a new experience for us seeing new flight profiles and aircarfts which we have nvr previously encounted and he expect us to achieve perfect record... not that i dun wan to achieve it but at least set a realistic one... so whats gonna happen if we dun achieve it??? cancel our nights out??? cancel our live day??? throw us in for every exercise even though we are the senior platoon??? i have no idea but you can be sure our heads will be on the chopping board if we juz let one miserly aircraft slip through our radar... thats always the case isn't it... our heads are easier to offer to the people at the top than your i guess...

now u can see why im not really keen on going... all these is dampening our spirits and add to the fact that our overseas allowance is being eaten up... well, i hope that everything turns out well of course since our platoon pride is at stake... i vow to track down every single flyboy out there to show to everyone that we are not the Best Firing Unit just in name only...

its back to normal squadron life again... quite boring man... somemore our nights out got cancelled... zzz... then our physical training for our ippt starts also... time to get back into shape so that we can clear our second window... but i cant really train coz of my wrist injury... its been bothering me for like 2 weeks already... went to visit the doctor yesterday... nothing serious just that its gonna take a long time to heal as i haven really let the wrist rest and recover...

finally caught the movie National Treasure: Book Of Secrets yesterday with dom and joe... its a damn nice movie... definitely worth the money... was full of action from start to finish... sometimes this kind of show really make you wish that you were in an adventure or quest yourself....

after the movie, the 3 of us walked to esplanade to meet up with yaoguang, michelle and chewling for dinner... ate at an italian restaurant... food not that nice and the service sucks... after dinner, was debating where to go and finally decided for TCC at city link for a drink and chill out...

its another 15 more days and im flying off to thailand and that is very fast!!!

a new skin for a new year... a new year means a new beginning... Happy New Year everyone!!!

the skin design wasn't really my idea... got the concept from another blogskin and decided to modify it... refer to credits for the original designer...

watched alien vs predator 2 already... not exactly as good as the hype surrounding it... like most movie nowadays, the ending was rushed through... story also wasn't very good... it was gory no doubt but i guess thats the only thing worth seeing...

well, 2007 has come to an end... time to look forward to the new year... 2007 was a so called boring year for me... life in NS is as such... pretty much been doing the same thing for the entire year... the 1st quarter was our adwo course phrase... that phrase was quite a testing phrase for me as it really tested my mental and physical strength... well, glad that i manage to pass out form that course even getting 2nd best among the FCE operators... the highlight of the year definitely has to be Exercise Kujarra III @ Woomera, Australia... it was my 1st overseas training trip and i truly enjoyed the experience there... and the best thing of it all was that we came back with the best firing unit tag... that definitely was the highlight of my 2007... another note was that i finally turned 21 in may... now that im an adult, its time to really plan for my future and hold responsibility for my own future...

i personally hope 2008 will be a good year for me... plenty of things to look forward to... 1 thing for certain is the 3 magical alphabet that means so much to all NSFs... also there is exercise cope tiger @ thailand coming in another 21 days time... and there is the taiwan trip that i hope to go but with which grp of frens i have yet to decide... also, i have to start deciding what i want to do after i get out from uncle's army... study or work, still to decide... so my resolutions for the next year are as follows,
1. O.R.D
2. IPPT silver
3. Lose more weight
4. Get my future sorted out
5. Live my life to the fullest

and anywhere, today have to book in already... my block leave finally come to an end... argh!! that's like damn fast... back to the mundane squadron life again...

this gonna be my last post for the year 2007... going out later to catch the movie alien vs predator 2 with my platoon mates... seems like all my festivals eve are spent watching movie...

went out in the last couple days... met up with alvin, waicheng, ak, lynn and huarong for dinner on saturday... after dinner at carls juniors, went to giraffe to chill out... pretty nice place with a good ambience...

had out first match in god knows how many months on sunday... played against marcus fren's team... really been a long time since we last don our boots and play on a field... the rustiness showed at first but was quickly overcame for a resounding 8-2 victory... opponents weren't exactly good which explains the scoreline... was played in a withdrawn striker role today... definitely something new... was abit stunned when i was asked to played there... i think i did well... considering the fact that the ball was often played behind for me to chase instead of playing the ball to my feet so that i can spread play... had 2 chances to score but my scuffed my 1st volley at the gk and the second volley over the bar... it was a good performance from the team and hopefully, build on this victory for future matches... and my boots gonna be scrapped soon... have to spend money to get a new pair again...

went to hougang mall earlier today to see the spop concert with keyuan and yehshun... keyuan wanted to take photos so went with him... peifen was the host and she's so cute!!! after which, they came to my house so that i can take the photos from keyuan 1st... all files in good resolution... good for editing... will post some here after editing it...

yep, merry christmas and happy holidays everyone... enjoying my block leave now... damn shiok... will only need to go back camp next year!!!

was on off from last thursday onwards although i had to make a trip back to camp on sunday for guard duty... went for a soccer session at the cage with my 4 of my A1 platoon mates and the specs and ADSSs on saturday... it was a fun and tiring 2 hour session although the cost abit fierce... 11 bucks for a 2 hours kickabout... well, overall it was fun though... attended alvin's 21st birthday celebration at his house in the evening... played some mahjong and caught up with some of the lads there... one of the last to leave coz i decided to book in straight to camp rather than go back the next day morning... thanks yiboon for driving me to camp...

after reaching home on monday, had diarrhea the whole day... must be the kfc we ordered when we doing guard duty... so did not join my platoon mate for steamboat at marina bay but did go for a movie session though... caught I Am Legend at PS... its a nice movie although the ending abit sucks... when will smith's dog die it was so sad man...

in less than a month's time i will be flying to thailand for exercise cope tiger... definitely going to be another eye opener to me... flying on the 21st of jan and most probably coming back on either the 4th or 5th of feb... just in time for chinese new year...

had a very good long rest during the weekend coz i was on leave since last thurs... really feels great to be able to just rest at home and finish up on some stuffs at home... but i injured my left wrist during soccer on sunday though... its another sprain... another injury to add to the damage on my body...

sunday was grand slam day... liverpool vs man utd and arsenal vs chelsea... they really do know how to arrange their fixtures... went over to keyuan's house with yehshun to catch the match... and yes, man utd won 1-0 courtesy of a carlos tevez goal... woohoo... how long has it been liverpool since they beat man utd??? haha... and it was also nice to see a 19 yr old squaring up against the england vice captain and winning the battle... haha... but arsenal won though... meaning they are still top of the epl...

caught the movie The Warlords yesterday... its a very nice movie and i encourage everyone to go catch it... the meanings in the show very strong and its definitely useful to our life...

booking in tonight... tml got guard duty meaning i only come back on thurs morning... zzz... whole A1 only i staying back... damn sianz... sunday also got guard duty... after which is long break all the way until new year...

its been raining cats and dogs for a few days now... the period of the year has come where its almost impossible to do any outdoor activities due to the magnificent weather... that ain't good... haven't been able to go and run and train for my ippt in the pass week even though i got plenty of time... this is bad... ippt is coming and i think im going to fail the 1st one... well, lets hope the weather will be better this week...

cope tiger mockup finally over... knew about more details abt the trip last week... we gonna have only 1 day of R&R and that as well in the middle of our exercise... well, i will look on the bright side and that is i won't spend so much money over there and save my on my overseas allowance...

went to nick's 21st birthday celebration last fri at a bar in dunlop street... it was a night of booze and fun... been quite a while since i went to smthing like that... didn't manage to make it to nigel's party earlier on coz i booked out quite late...

on off today... nearly got cancelled due to some selfish bastard in my platoon... upon hearing today got things to do, pple straight away go and request for the off when he got so long to say smthing but didn't until the last min... in the end, the thing tat needed to be done was done so sgt thomas gave me and annaik back our day off... i dun mind cancelling my off to go back do stuffs coz that's what im suppose to do but if im suppose to cancel and go back coz some pple is being selfish and does not want to do this job, then im pissed... this isn't the 1st time this guy has do stunts... i wrote abt him smtimes ago in a post and those who have read it, its the same guy... anyway, there are all kinds people ard...

back for another week of updates... very short week in camp... booked out on tuesday night as wednesday was our A1 ORD chalet for the old specs... the chalet was at the nsrcc, the safra resort at tanah merah there... going there bring back memories of 2 years ago when we had a chalet there as part of the pre fo preparation... well, time really flies yea... the periods of time spend in poly with all the club pple are definitely one the best time of my life... haha...

went over to the chalet in the afternoon... basically played mahjong the whole day and its been a long time since i last played... well, luck on that day wasn't really on my side... haha... anyway, the chalet was sort of a last gathering for the old specs and us coz they are ording soon or have already orded... seriously, we are beginning to miss their presence in the platoon especially both john n yihao who are my detachment commander and 2ic... i won't ever forget all the things that they have taught me and the 2 gifts that we gave you guys really represent our heartfelt feelings and sincere thanks to you 2 for guiding us all the way... (fyi: i did a collage of pictures and words that we wanted to say and printed it out and framing it up)

went over to the sitex on thursday morning after we came back from the chalet... nothing much there really... didn't see anything that i could buy or wat... i still feel the suntec shows are the best... expo really got nothing to see man...

den on sat, yep, we got it again... another recall exercise back to unit... and guess what, this was still not the actual one... the actual one is at god knows when... very fun man... keep playing with our weekend... i got nothing more to comment on this matter... if i do, i think i will be charged... after the recall thing, met up with alvin, waicheng, lynn and ak at suntec kenny rogers for dinner... ended the day early coz alvin and lynn taking part in the standard chartered marathon today... haha...

next week going to be a long week in camp... going for cope tiger mockup tml at lim chu kang camp... got no idea what we gonna be doing there... sianz... i just hope for 3rd week of dec to come... then i will trauly be on leave...

did not update the previous week coz i was too lazy to... haha... nothing much also... the week been a pretty relax week... only went back camp for 2 days coz i was on leave on monday, thursday and friday... the only "exciting" thing that happened last week was probably our recall exercise on last sat... it was a so called mockup to get us prepared for the real thing... it was boring to sum it up and at the end of it, we got scolded for things that we did not do... that's always the case with us ain't it... whenever we did something real good, we got no credits or rewards at the end of it... just our upper management grinning from ears to ears with the fruits of our labour... then when something goes wrong, guess wat, we are the one to be put on the chopping board... how ironic eh...

the week was pretty relax except for the circus on saturday... the long break was definitely welcomed... gave me the chance to recharge my battery and also to do some house cleaning at home... was only out yesterday with my sec sch buddies yehshun, keyuan n sinwah... went to vivo to catch the movie Hero... its a nice movie, definitely worth watching... caught the soccer games after the movie... man utd was crap yesterday and they deserved to lose...

next week also gonna be another short week... only gonna be in camp on monday and tuesday coz wednesday onwards is our A1 chalet for the ORD personnels... mainly the 3rd sgts... i hope some of the old a1 pple turned up so that we can shoved into their face the best fire unit tag for looking down on us and saying that we cannot make it... lala... eat your words...

den on dec 1st, rumours has it that the real thing will be on that day... hmm... let's hope it comes on that day... sooner rather than later...

today totally feels like sunday coz have to book in tomorrow for guard duty... sianz... worst thing is do weekend guard but monday dun have off coz we will be moving out for exercise golden ring... zzz... go there cover another platoon ass... really is wtf... there's combat shoot as well next week... woo... cant wait... this time round, its a team effort to get marksman and i believe if everyone just do their best and pray our guns dun IA... we will have a chance...

been quite a busy week in camp with plenty to do... seriously, i feel its very irresponsible of people to take the entire week off when they know that this week gonna be a busy week... when we are planning our offs and leaves, its pretty obvious that this week gonna be quite busy with all the cleaning to be done... but no.... people can happily take the whole week off and enjoy themselves while we are in camp doing their shit work for them... i mean one or two days off ok la coz u will still be in camp to help out abit but the whole week... nothing more to say...

cleared off yesterday and met up with the juniors for dinner at changing appetites at marina square to celebrate junhao's belated birthday... long time never see some of them like candy and steffie... glad to see they are good... haha... after dinner was dessert at haagen das at esplanade...

next week gonna be a busy week... just hope to have a good outfield and maybe, just maybe, get myself another 200 bucks at combat shoot next week...

the equipments are back... meaning we have to start cleaning them... and that sucks with it full of sand and all... its almost impossible to get it 100% clean man... and some of the metal parts have already become rusty... seems like this week gonna be another damn sianz week of cleaning the equipment...

there was a flight bbq on thurs... it was great... coz of the bbq, ippt on friday was cancelled... haha... thank god... it gave me more time to train... no matter what other people say that its all in the mind and that quickly take quickly clear, its better to be given more time to train ain't it??? think for those who are having problems passing...

met up with ak, alvin, waicheng, lynn and huarong yesterday afternoon for dim sum buffet @ dragon gate restaurant in harbourfront... celebrated huarong's birthday... after which went for a movie.... watched the seeker at vivo... the movie absolutely sucks big time... after which, me and ak went to brewerkz for dinner and also to catch the arsenal man utd match... some of the mit juniors came to join us later... the match was great... anyone who doubt why soccer is called the beautiful game just have to watch this game... pity man utd did not win though...

injured my ankle today while playing soccer... dunno whether its a sprain or twisted... the swelling is damn big now.... cant really walked properly... hope its nothing serious... if the swelling still does not subside by tomorrow... i guess i will have to go see the mo... that sucks with 2 guard duties planned this week... i dun wan to miss anymore... my total already quite little compared to the rest le...

sianz... its back to the same old routine of booking in on sunday and boooking out on friday again... damn sianz man... we have already started to plan out leaves and off for the next 2 months le... have to clear man... but the most sianz part is that we aren't totally free of any events... in fact, the next 2 months gonna be quite busy as well... firstly there's exercise golden ring on 12th to 14th november, combat shoot on 15th n 16th nov, cope tiger mockup in december and of coz there is our recall exercise on weekend... 2 weekends will be taken up for this... even more sianz... zzz... so my leaves will be quite sporadic... at least for the christmas and new year stretch, we will be on leave all the way... which is good news...

met up with siyu, junhao, shuping, sq, nut, adolf, james and terry yesterday for dinner at chomp chomp... highlight of the trip is definitely junhao falling into a hole!!! haha... that was funny... lolz... oh ya, went to ica to make my ic in the morning yesterday... kenna complain by my chief clerk y i nvr go make when i lost it before i enlist... haha... so in fact, i will get my pink ic when i ord!!! lolz...

finally had a sunday soccer session today... the field where we often played on is finally done... all it need is some pressing on the ground and we can finally play there again... its been ages since we last played at our "homeground"... haha...

our equipments is coming back this week... meaning there is tonnes of post exercise cleaning to do!!! that is sure to sucks with the equipments full of sand...

Aftermath of K3

its been 1 week plus since im back in singapore already... and i hav to say, i miss australia!!! haha... especially the weather... its like so damn hot in singapore and you are always sweating buckets... haha...

anyway, after australia, i will be going on another overseas exercise next year... this time round its to thailand... date is 23rd jan to 6th feb i think... and we will most probably be back on chinese new year eve!!! whoa... lucky nvr miss chinese new year... this time round, only my detachment pple instead of the whole platoon going as its gonna be quite a major exercise and only the fce is being used there... well, looking forward to that trip... l think i can be considered quite lucky to be able to go overseas twice in my ns life... haha...

the week in camp was pretty boring as our equipments doesn't arrive back in singapore till 31st oct or later... but it feels funny to go back camp as we haven't been back in like 1 month... haha... my bedsheet was damn dusty man... lolz...

was out with quite a number of mit peeps yesterday... went for steamboat at marina bay... it was sort of a farewell dinner to mark who is enlisting this friday... haha... another to join us in serving the nation... lolz... its was a good dinner and manage to catch up with quite a number of the people both seniors and the young ones... after which, shawn, junhao, nut, leon, shuping and me made our way to wala wala in holland v for a drink and to watch the man utd vs aston villa match...

gonna go back to the damn sianz period of going back camp again... i miss australia...

Will be touching down in Adelaide, Australia in less than an hour time... First time taking a plane... Quite a good experience not to mention got pretty air stewardess... Everyone's pretty excited since we got on the plane... Flight is around 6 hours... There's gonna be another long bus ride later on as well...

Best Fire Unit, here we come!!!

27th Sep 07
Finally reached the town of Woomera after a whole day of bus ride from Adelaide... It was a super long journey with a couple of pit stops in between... First stop was at a petrol kiosk at Port Wakefield where we bought some drinks and some stuffs to eat for breakfast... Next stop was a longer one at Port Augusta where we had our lunch and also did out grocery shopping at a supermarket...

There were plenty of sights along the journey... The landscapes and scenery here is damn beautiful... Saw lots of animals along the journey as well... There were horses, cattles, sheeps and emus...

Reached Woomera at around dinner time... Settled into our rooms and unpacked our stuffs... The rooms pretty good... 3 person sharing one so it ain't that bad... But i don't exactly like my room mates... Well, gotta make do with it...

Will be going to our deployment site tomorrow...

And the weather here feels like as though we are living under a huge air con!!!

Second day in Woomera. Went to our deployment site first thing in the morning... The weather was hot but the wind was damn strong until we hardly sweat pushing the equipments out and deploying them... But the strong wind was a bad thing as well... It kept blowing the sand up and onto us until we were breathing sand and getting it in our eyes...

Managed to deploy all the equipments today and ahead of schedule as well... So we came back earlier than expected... But it wasn't a good thing though coz we had to go for a flight run!!! Argh... Can't escape from running even when we are in Woomera... The run was both good and bad... Good as the weather here made you hardly break a sweat when you run... But bad as its been a long time since i ran such a long distance and the dry air here made it hard for one to breath...

It was free and easy after that so we went to the local supermarket to get some more grocery for our stay here and also to start our photo taking frenzy!!!

Did our system check for ouur equipments today... Things weren't going very well... There some problems with the guns... I hope it won't hinder our firing or our chances of getting Best Fire Unit would be affected... Hopefully all the faults can be rectified tomorrow!!!

The night sky here is simply magnificent i tell you... Its really like nothing you ever see in Singapore or on Ubin or Tekong... The view is just like seeing those desktop wallpapers face to face... Can only be described with the word Majestic!!!

Weather is damn cold man... The weather here is quite erratic... Hot one day and cold the next... Hope i don't fall sick!!!

4th day of preparation... At last gun 2 is up and ready to go!!!

Nothing much today... Pretty much the same things we have been doing for the past few days... Took more photos of the town during our free and easy time in the evening... And even though there is no Singapore Pools for us to bet our soccer matches, there is Australian TAB!!! And the odds are better than sg pools!!! So decided to try my luck on a few matches tonight...

Had a briefing for all the Tracker Operators(TO) tonight on the engaging procedures and how to hit the target more accurately... Well, i agree with what Sgt JunRong said after the briefing... While the guns are shooting, those not doing anything must pray hard!!! Haha...

Dry run day 1 tomorrow...

Damn dull day... Waited like the whole day before the NS platoons finished their system checks and dry run passes so that we can take over the system to do our checks and passes...

Our dry run today was in the night... It was pretty much the same as mockup just that this time round, there is a real balloon instead of simulating it...

Tomorrow gonna be a super early day for us as we will be in the first shift... Tomorrow our last day of dry run before live firing commences on Tuesday!!!

And guess what, there is porn or rather mature movies being shown at night on the television!!! Haha...

Feeling very sick right now... Having a slight fever and a very bad headache... Just popped 2 panadols to try to ease my pain... Really wrong time to get sick with live firing starting tomorrow...

Went through the dry run today inspite of my condition... Had to as tomorrow the real thing and i have to get myself familiarise with the procedures... Hopefully can recover by tomorrow...

Ain't really confident about tomorrow though... The day target is very small and its very hard to see... So its gonna be quite a challenge... Hope that we can be the first to splash the target tomorrow... All the way for Best Fire Unit!!!

First day of firing and it wasn't very good... Did not splash the target at all... Haiz...

If only gun 1 did not go down coz of that 4 screws that came loose, i think we have about 80% chance of hitting the damn target... Well, tomorrow we will be engaging at night and im determined to bring it down!!!

Seeing the guns fire today was damn awesome... It was even a better sight at night when we can see the bullets fly out of the barrel and into the night sky... Its every gunners dream to see the guns fire and we are the honoured few to be able to witness it... The deafening sound adds to our excitement as well...

Damn man... We were so close to hitting the target today!!! The reports say that we missed the target my a mere 1.4 metres... That's like so close man... If only i had aimed higher... Argh!!!

The pressure was on us as earlier on in the day, C1, the NS platoon took down the first target of K3.... And with our fire unit as well... So we had to do well... But sadly, it was so close yet so far...

Tomorrow gonna be night engagement as well... But it probably won't be me up in the tracker as it's surely gonna be AnnAik's turn to have a crack at taking down the target...

And the weather was freezing cold tonight!!!

"This is your exercise commander to FU 2... Target Splashed!!! Congratulations!!!"

WOOHOO!!!! We did it!!! Finally, the target is down, hit by the bullets from our guns!!!

Its really hard to describe the emotions that followed after we saw the bullets hit the target on the daytv screen and the target exploded into flames... The feeling is like... ... scoring in last minute of stoppage time to win the champions league for your team... Yea, something like that... Everyone was simply, elated!!!

Credit goes out to AnnAik for tracking the target and getting it down and lieutenant nicholas was the FCO who pressed the fire button... I knew we would splashed the target... Happy for AnnAik as well as he was under tremendous pressure from the start and when PC said those stuffs, i said to myself that annaik will get the target... And he did!!! Woot!!!

We are now well on track to getting Best Fire Unit!!!

Did not get to fire tonight due to bad weather... Can you believe it, bad weather in a desert!!! It was about to rain and the wind was so strong that sandstorms keep forming...

Not firing today means we have to fire on sunday which means our off day is being activated... Meaning our R&R gonna get cut or rather it wasn't even there in the first place... No chance to shop meaning no chance of getting souvenirs for my friends... gonna do what i can to get some stuffs for my friends... Give me half a day enough already!!!

tomorrow gonna be our rest day but there is like nothing to do in this ghost town...

Our rest day today... Walked around the town in the morning... Noting much to do here really... There is no shopping centre or any other forms of entertainment in this town... So we pretty much rot in our room the whole day...

Heard some not very good stuffs regarding the best fire unit competition... We are not very happy with what we heard... The truth is out there for everyone to see and by tomorrow, it will be pretty obvious as to who is the best...

4 more days left to spend in Australia... I do miss home though... I missed my family, my friends, the food here and my computer!!!

A2 splashed the target on their first try with 1 gun and 1 barrel... The firing was delayed for the entire day which sucks... A2 splashing the target means we more or less are the best fire unit unless those cuckoos in the upper management think otherwise...

Packing day tomorrow... Everything got to be done quick so that we can be back in time at the hotel for our post exercise dinner function...

Cease everything today... Pushed and packed all the equipments and MI into the containers for it to be shipped back to singapore... Took a short trip to Lake Hart... The lake is now dried up but the view there is magnificent nonetheless...

Then post exercise dinner... Result is out, We are the BEST FIRE UNIT!!! Woohoo... Everyone jumped for joy and hugged one another when the results were announced... Finally, all the hard work that everyone put in and paid dividends... No one can doubt us now... Against all the odds with us being the most junior platoon out there and in the end, We Are The Best!!!

Tomorrow we gonna make our way back to Adelaide where we will stay before flying back to Singapore...

Left Woomera at last... Trip to Adelaide was damn long... Stayed at place in Adelaide called Mawson Lake... The place there is damn nice man... I don't mind staying here next time man... and the hotel we are staying in is 4.5 stars!!!

Left half a day when we reached there and we quickly settled down and rushed down to town to whatever shopping we can do... Managed to get some stuffs for my family and friends but not everyone though as there simply wasn't enough time and the shops there all closed at 6pm!!!

Leaving this place tomorrow... Kinda sad that i'm leaving... Wished we could have stayed longer here...

Im on the plane back to Singapore now... Will touch down in Singapore in a few hours time... This overseas exercise has really been an eye opener with me... Brought back plenty of experiences... Gonna miss Australia... The weather, the food and the people...

Harlow people!!! i'm back form australia!!! haha... finally after 14 days, Exercise Kujarra III has finally ended... and yep, we are the Best Fire Unit!!! really delighted that we clinched this title... us being the most junior platoon with the least experience out there... but we prove everyone especially those people at the top wrong by bring home the title... Alpha Platoon 1, We are the best!!!!

the trip to australia was a eyeopener for me as i have nvr been to a foreign country for such a long perioid of time before... australia is a damn nice country man maybe except for the irritating flies... the weather there is good, food is good, girls damn pretty, people are friendly etc... wish i could have stayed there longer for our R&R... only had half a day of playtime there before we flew back to singapore... damn short man... but what to do when the upper management is so f-up... i'm kinda missing australia already... haha...

yep, in less than 24 hours i will be on the plane to adelaide, australia for exercise kujarra 3...

been having block leave since thursday... which was good coz it allows us to rest and catch up with people before our trip... and catch i did... caught up with the old birds of mit club on thursday... met up with yaolong, yiling, zul, junxian, terence and alvin in school... dunno why yaolong wan go sch when its still the holidays... anyway, talk cok there abit in the clubrm coz yongxian was there so can go club... after which, yaolong, yiling, terence and me took alvin's car to marina square for dinner... we were joined by joshua, yuwen, dia, rudy, bin and waicheng... had swensens for dinner... it was a hearty dinner with lots of laughs... talked about the old times in school and all the funny stuffs that happened... and we think is very much suitable to appear as the muscle man in the mocca ad on tv... he will be so suitable la!!! lolz...

then yesterday was out with my sec sch buddies keyuan and yehshun... went amk hub to have dinner... had new york new york for dinner... after dinner, went around shopping abit... there was the amk hub opening bash i think and several celebrities were there to perform... we caught mi lu bing performance and it was great... there were other guests like diya, zhengning, peifen and daniel ong there as well... after which, we went to catch the match between man utd and chelsea after that at a coffeeshop near my house... wooo... man utd really rubbed salt into chelsea's wounds yea... haha...

well, will be flying in less den 24 hours time... im quite excited about the trip really... somemore its going to be my first time taking a plane... abit suaku i know... haha... finished packing my bag today... like nothing to bring but my bag quite big sia... haha... gonna meet my poly classmates for dinner at the airport before meeting up with the rest of A1...

my aim for the aussie trip is definitely to win the best fire unit honour... at our live firing, there is a friendly competition between the 4 platoons that are there... 2 active which is us A1 and A2, and 2 NS platoon... every target we shot down we will get 50 points... and platoon with the most points win best fire unit... being the num 1 TO, that is definitely something i am going to aim for... so best fire unit, here i come...

gonna keep a diary of what happen during my 14 day stay there and post it up here... hope that its gonna be of fun and laughter as well as success... haha...

did not update yesterday coz i was in camp doing guard duty... yep, kenna sunday guard again... sianz... 1 more guard duty on wednesday before flying off to australia... gonna have block leave from thursday onwards till the day i fly to australia... definitely need the time to prepare and pack my bags... have to bring alot of stuffs back from camp this week as alot of the stuffs are still in camp... so yep, in about 1 week time i will be on the plane to australia for exercise kujarra 3...

anyway, something i forgot to include in last week's post... last week was the 1 year anniversary of me enlisting into the SAF... so yea, less then 1 year to ORD!!! i can still remember the times 1 year ago before i enlisted man... went for club's ltc den the day before i enlist i was still in sp watching the peeps moved stuffs into the new clubrm... haha... and the laminated photo and tag u all gave me are still hanging in my cupboard... haha... how time really flies man...

Alvin's Comms Parade

this week was a damn slack week... we had nightouts like every other day... been eating supper almost everyday and that's bad... i think im starting to gain back all the kilos that i shed during course time... this is bad, very bad... second ippt window opening soon and i think im going to fail!!! cannot, must start training liao...

anyway, attended alvin's commissioning parade with waicheng, siyu, shermian and junhao... congrats to you bro... finally made it through the 9 months of training and getting your 1 bar... haha...

went for dinner after the parade with the juniors... its been ages since i last saw them... shermian and junhao during the agm and siyu after FO... thats damn long la... haha... went for dinner at billy bombers after which we went to pets station to find qiuhui... went home after that...

its another 16 more days to australia... next week gonna be parade week coz we having our unit's coc... damn, i hate parade... zzz... but friday is off i think so gonna be a short week again... woot...

finally, im back home after 2 week!!! and what a 2 weeks it was man...

this 2 weeks was a really tough one... both physically and mentally... first we had our k3 mock up exercise at tuas that last over the weekends... and the moment we pack up and come back to squadron, we had to start cleaning our stores equipments and prepare to stuff them into the containers by this week... and the catch was that if we cannot finish cleaning by friday, we had to stay back during the weekend to finish up the job... and it was no less thanks to "marvellous" planning from the people upstairs...

first of all, shipping dates were only confirm to us this week meaning we had to rush to prepare everything... talked about safety and rushing for time being one of the dirty dozens... if they had planned the schedule properly and confirmed everything beforehand, we wouldn't had to rush like mad and worked till the wee hours of the night every day... that's how gd the planning is from the people who are drawing taxpayers money... and that isn't all that meets the eye... schedules were constantly changing making me wonder if they are really prepared for the trip... well, at least its over and i don't have to stay back for the weekend... my platoon would have revolt if we had stayed for another weekend...

and the equipments are hardly easy to clean... they want it sand and dust free coz the immigration at australia won't let any singapore sand be brought into their country... and it been ages since people last cleaned the undercarriage of our MIs... and so the stains, sand and grease are stuck there... even using fire hose and jet sprays, the particles still cant be removed meaning we had to manually cleaned each and every corner of the equipment... talked about getting high on cleaning... my admin shirt literally turned from white to black...

anyway, the equipments are in and our duffel bags packed ready to be shipped to down under... so yep, another 23 more days to Australia... mixed feelings about the trip really... excited that im going to another country for a live firing but sianz about the fact that its going to be in a desert and its going to another saikang worth of jobs to do... well, wat to do, i only got an umbrella on my sleeves...

Back for 1 night

Bookout tonight to come home to pack some stuffs that we need for our trip to australia... needed to pack these items into our army duffel bags by next week coz the duffel bags will be sent to australia via shipping together with our equipments and stores... alot of things to pack and since we weren't coming home for the weekend, our ps allow us to come home to pick up the stuffs that we need... beside the duffel bag, we also need to have another bag that we will be bringing with us when we leave on the 26th of sep...

anyway, just some stuffs before im gone for like 2 weeks for exercise... all designers and photographers should have taken note of noisesingapore by now... think im gonna try submit a t-shirt design... haha...

again nothing much this weekend... booked out on thur instead of fri coz fri was our platoon's live day... meaning cohesion day la... by right have to go and visit the war memorial but we by left la... so went to marina square to eat, play pool and bowl before we were dismissed... after which, edwin khoo, ann aik, edwin ang and me went to town coz its still early...

sat morning went to extend my passport at ICA for the upcoming australia trip... i reached ICA at 7.30am in the morning and the queue to go in was damn long... luckily ann aik was there early and had already queued up... so we just went in and join him... then in the afternoon, met up with michelle, yaoguang and dom for a session at k box... after which, the 4 of us met chewling, joe, willy and yiyang for dinner... great meeting up with them again...

time for an update... did not update the previous weekend coz i was out with the rainbow gang to celebrate willy's birthday... last weekend was a short one coz i was on duty on friday... damn sianz... always kenna friday and weekends one... haiz... mayb my ps dun like me la... anyway, met up with willy, chewling, yaoguang, dominic and joe on sunday at orchard... celebrating willy's birthday which was on national day... went to crystal jade for our dinner then go swensens for ice-cream after which i had to go off early coz have to book in!!! sianz...

the week was a short one... booked out on wednesday afternoon... forced to clear half day off... kenna eaten again sia our off... wednesday evening can booked out liao still want us to clear half day off... obviously eating our offs man...

anyway, i caught rush hour 3 twice in two days... first was on national day with my platoon mates and the other time yesterday with yehshun and keyuan... the one with my platoon mates was a unforgettable one... but not due to the movie though... due to something that happen before the movie... thanks to 2 old bitches, i missed the start of the show... here's an account of what happen... we got 10 seats altogether in a row and when we go in, we found out that the 2 last seats in the row has been taken up by an auntie and an old lady which i assume are related... so i politely told them that they are seating on our seats and guessed what... the old lady just gan me for no reason... she literally screamed at me till the entire cinema turned around to see what happened... i was like WTF?!? i wasn't in the wrong obviously coz those are our seats and she just gan me... keep saying what not their problem and that since its our seats we should go find the manager ourselves... so left with no choice, we asked the usher in to try and solve the situation but guessed what, the 2 bitches continued to gan us... they saying that they not going to move coz the person at the counter told them that their seats were at the 3rd row from the back which was where we were seating... i keep asking them for the tickets as prove but they didn't have it... and the best thing was, the old lady say she not going to move coz she cant walk... WTF!?! then the auntie started to gan me say what we bully old people and asked me to call the police to settle and stuffs... in the end, my tolerance reached its max and started to shoot the auntie back... and i won the war of words as the auntie was left speechless after what i shot at her and she was exasperated to the point that she said to me "har na, you damn clever la" lolz... that was shiok man... then the manager came and we move to back waiting for the verdict... i dont know what the manager said but the old lady decided to move to another seat... and guessed what, we stand up and walked on her own... wow... i guess she really cant walked eh...

anyway, we should have videoed down the episode and put on youtube man... it was damn cock la... see movie only meet this kinda people... really suay sia that day...

then friday was ADOC anniversary celebration at sentosa.... basically go there do nothing la... went of at around 2pm then met up with yehshun and keyuan...

got to booked in tomorrow morning for guard duty... damn sianz... see, i always kenna weekend de... damn sianz...

im damn shagged out after guard duty yesterday man... haiz... hate weekend duties sia... especially sunday duty... coz monday off is so called not worth it one... booked out in the morning den booked in again at night... damn sianz... then my guard duty schedule for the next 2 weeks is so imba!!! let's see... yesterday 1 weekend duty, tomorrow one duty, friday another duty, then next monday another duty and the worse one, the long weekend during national day cut short on sunday coz of duty also!!! kaoz... damn sianz la... i want to clear my duties fast but not this way... im gonna be like so damn shaggged out this 2 weeks man... zzz...

so august gonna be a damn sianz month for me... after all these guard duties, we will be moving out on the 23rd for our K3 mockup at tuas... it was go on until 27th which is a monday... meaning the weekend got burn... and we got no news of whether we will be given off after we come back anot... if we are not given, it means we will be having a 2 weeks confinement!!! argh!!! sianz...

anyway, caught The Simpsons' Movie on saturday with ak, lynn, shukai and huarong... well, the show is definitely one that everyone should watch coz its just so crappy... haha... really laugh my hearts out in the theatre on saturday... those who have not catch it should go ahead and do so...

anyway, after booking out today, went to cut hair and met ak and waicheng for lunch at tiong bahru... after which went home to rest... booking in loh... damn sianz...

Sick on a weekend

at last, 3 weeks of constant outfield has finally ended... no more outfield until the next K3 mockup.... its around 2 months away before im flying to australia for my unit's live firing exercise... people would normally look forward to outfield exercise... but im not really that keen for some reason... well, maybe when we reached there i will feel different but thats still a couple of months away...

this week was OCT's exercise swallow or sumex as we called it... thank god it rained most of the time meaning we get to rest more... went to 3 sites... first up was tuas... i simply love the tuas deployment site... its so breezy and the night sky seen from there is absolutely magnificent... just wished i had a camera with me... next up was lim chu kang... whoa... oujr nightmare site... who can forget running god knows how many rounds round this place during our sumex... then it was back to msa for the final site...

and yes, we finally got our tv... after months of constant haggling, we finally got the tv that we deserved... nights in squadron won't be that bored anymore and its just in time for us to see felicia chin in num 4 as well ;)

was sick the entire weekend so did not go out at all... so missed the outing with my poly classmates and martin's 21st birthday celebration... also missed soccer today... damn... its been quite a while since i last 'tak qiu'... it sucks falling sick on weekend really... totally spoils your entire weekend... why cant i fall sick on weekdays??? then i can maybe get attend c and come home... zzz.... so spend the weekend playing games and designing the tshirt for our kujarra trip... every detachment had to come up with one and needless to say, all my detachment mates refused to have anything to do with it... really cannot take it anymore... does studying design before means i have to be the one to do it??? i don't think so... it really let me see the other side of my detachment mates really... well, whats done is done and i design it anyway...

OCT Tryout

alright, its 2 outfields over and 1 more to go for this month... this week was the OCT's tryout exercise and we were the supporting platoon... meaning we go there and do whatever the octs wants us to do... and as usual like all the other exercises, it was damn tiring although we get to rest more than last time... but comparing our own exercise tryout and theirs, ours was definitely more demanding than theirs...

well, this week is their summary exercise, exercise swallow... another week of extreme shagness... this time gonna be more tough with 3 sites plan... well, just hoped its not gonna be like our sumex since its not supposed to be ours... but the thought of going outfield again makes me damn sianz... and in august, we are all required to go to tuas for our K3 mockup part 2... and i heard we gonna be staying there for 2 damn week... thats is like omfg la... well, there haven't been any announcements yet so we are all keeping our fingers crossed and hoped we aren't gonna be staying there for 2 weeks...

caught Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix yesterday with my A1 mates... well, the show wasn't exactly fantabulous... it failed to live up to the hype surrounding it i feel... after prisoner of azkaban, i think this is the next worse one... just hope the next installment gonna be better.... and the casts look so different when they are grown up...

got to go... booking in again tonight and moving out for exercise tomorrow... wish me luck that it will go on smoothly... another 4 days out in the wilderness... haiz...

at last, end of K3 mockup... well, it wasn't as bad as i thought except for the blardy hot sun... everything went quite smoothly i would say... and we got to book out early on friday as well... so it was quite a pleasant week i would say...

as you all know, i don't really have a habit of writing about someone whether is it good or bad on my blog... mainly coz i don't want to offend anyone and also i want to keep those thoughts to myself ownly since those are my opinions of that anyone... but today, i really could not take it but to flame someone... someone particular from my bunk... not surprising eh you guys might say since i court controversy wherever i go... well, it all started when one of my bunkmate msn me and ask to view a particular bunkmate's blog... i knew that that person had a blog but i have never visited and read his posts before... well, my bunkmate told me to read and i did... and guess what... he literally flamed some of us on the blog... he did not mention names but anyone who had been in the same platoon as us could have guess easily who those people he was talking were... and i was dumbfounded after reading it, seriously...

u say that we like to shift responsibility and push blame onto each other... whoa~ is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black or what... i really wonder who is the one who always try to escape away from responsibility and find ways to tuang ("meaning slack/chao keng") whenever possible... whenever it comes to pushing equipments, i have never ever seen you volunteer to be towbar man or even pusher before... the 1st place you always go to is the brake(fyi: brake man is the slackest)... even if u were the first one there and the towbar is just in front of you, you would just walk away... whoa~~~ talk about inititative and responsibility...

and let's talk about hangar maintanence(meaning sweep the floor etc) shall we... i wonder who was the one i saw sitting down on the structure and sweeping the floor... oh yes!!! you can actually sit down and sweep the floor... cool huh... and not for a while i might add... and who was it who actually just sit down there and look after 2, i repeat 2 small plastic pallet coz the field store key was nowhere to be found... not bad la that one... sit down there and guard the 2 pallet while some of us there were carrying the damn blardy heavy gun limiter into the hangar..thanks ar... perfect demonstration of cyclops's optic blast attack... 99 hit combo somemore... woot~

and yea, mention of that particular person's name will make u foam on the mouth and writhe around in agony eh... why is it that i don't see any white foam in the bunk or you writhing around??? hmm... something is wrong eh... don't worry... this won't be the last you shall hear about that particular person's name... and u better foam and writhe the next time... oh, sorry about us playing mando-pop songs all the time... that explains why you always go emo by yourself in your little corner and putting on your mickey mouse headphones... probably listening to your punk rawk... whoa~ punk rawk eh... im scared~~~ and sorry if our singing sux... we really cant help it but sing along to the tune whenever we are listening to songs... is that an offence??? i dun think so... if we were brilliant singers, i doubt u will get to see any one of us here... we would probably be on tv haggling for people to vote for us on singapore idol or jue dui superstar... so yea, continue puting on your mickey mouse headphones...

long weekend this week... booked out on thursday night coz friday was off day... woohoo... really is enjoy this weekend to the max coz nxt week K3 mockup start liao... although not really outfield but its still damn sianz...

anyway, got to know that mit club is having their agm on friday so msg teckchau see whether i could pop by... so went down to school in the evening to attend their agm... the agm stuffs all standard la... everyone i think only look forward to the food at the end of the agm... haha... to the new management comm: all the best for the academic year ahead... i believe you guys can bring mit to even greater heights =) after that, went out for dinner with the peepz... went jurong east to have pizza hut... wa the service there damn f-up la... wait damn long for the food and when the food came, some of it was cold la... me and tc not happy so go talk to the manager... at least he gave us a 30 bucks discount off our meals so its like we only pay 10 bucks each... haha...

den saturday afternoon meet up wif mark and joshua to have lunch at suki sushi... after which, went for a game of pool at far east shopping centre... long time since i last played pool... after which they went to jurong to some of the year 1s while i loiter in kinokuniya coz meeting the team for dinner at fish & co... fish & co was kevin's treat so yea... thanks kev!!! after which, was movie time... Transformers!!! its damn nice la the movie... everyone should watch it regardless whether u watched the cartoon when you were young... i dun think im bluffing when i say that its the best movie this year... and Megan Fox is damn hot!~! haha...

gonna be a damn tiring 3 weeks from nxt week onwards with K3 mockup, OCT tryout and OCT sumex coming up... argh... save me!!!

woot... long weekend this week coz today was platoon's life day at sentosa... sort of like outing/excursion la... so went to sentosa... first up was a visit to fort siloso for a tour to get to know more about singapore's defences during the second world war... after which was fun at the beach for the whole afternoon... ok la... quite fun... pretty tired now and i still got to book in later... sianz... haha...

this week gonna be a short week coz friday is off day... woohoo... shiok... but saturday need to go for ndp preview at the marina waterfront... but get to clock half a day off... so not that bad... but july gonna be a damn tiring month la... 1st week got K3 mockup deployment to prepare for our kujarra trip... den 2nd week will be supporting the OCT's tryout and then 3rd week is their sumex... damn sianz la... 2 weeks of cease and deployment drills!!! arghhh... gonna go crazy... den 4th week is guard duties week... zzz...

forgot to update the week before... lolz... anyway, first of all, congrats to my good pal yehshun... finally got commission as a officer last week... was at safti to witness the commissioning parade... ur 9 months of endurance finally pay off le... lolz... congrats yea...

moved bunk in sqn le...oved frm the sixth floor down to fifth floor to take over the old batch bunk... they really left us an ord present man... the room was in such a big mess when we took over la... so most of last week's free time was spend tidying up the bunk and moviing our stuffs down to the fifth floor...

finally got my psp this week... finally in bunk got something to do liao... no more boredom and borrowing of psp from other pple... haha... but buying psp means im broke for the month ahead and pay juz came in not long ago... zzz... haha...

sianz, tml moving out for exercise again... luckily this time round only 3 days... so will be back wednesday night... so still ok la... not 1 whole freaking week can le...

a pretty boring week i would say... was given day off yesterday and today... meaning i only needa book in tonight and not sunday night... shiok man... 2 days off... haha... only reason why we can clear so many days off tis week is coz tis week is audit week... meaning we stay in squadron also nothing to do... lolz...

but on off also nothing much to do la... stayed at home and play games all the way... but it definitely beats staying in squadron coz even if there is nothing there for us to do... they die die will find something for us to do de...

yea... finally turned 21 le... can finally be called an adult le... can ownself sign stuffs and watch R21 shows liao... haha...

anyway, was out the rest of yesterday with my friends... watched pirates of the carribean 3 with waicheng, lynn and ak in the afternoon... the show didn't really live up to all the hype la... wasn't really that fantastic but it was a good show nonetheless... thanks waicheng, lynn, ak, alvin and huarong for the present =)

met up with chewling, michelle, dom, yaoguang, joe and willy at marina bay for steamboat... steamboat was fun especially with a group of pals... anyway, after steamboat, went to esplanade there to slack around and catch up with one another... can u imagine 7 of us squeezing into willy's car as he drove us to esplanade... haha... so talk about what's happening in our lives now and also reminisce about the old times... willy drove us home after that... thanks for the presents as well my rainbow buddies...

had a soccer match today... played against some team from sim... won 7-0... finally broke our winless streak... scored and got an assist today... not bad... good way to celebrate my birthday... but the opponents were bad la... which explain the scoreline... could have been more if we had been more prolific in front of goal...

end of another super busy week... week was damn busy man with all the aao preparation... every day work till quite late...

monday had a soccer match against the officers... i didn't really enjoyed it as i found out what sore losers some officers are... you would really expect this type of thing coming from them with them what having gone thru ocs and having the qualtities to become a 2lt... it add further evidence to my thinking that some officers are really half-fuck and somehow or rather manage to get in ocs... what the hell happened??? well, the think was that particular 2LT was not happy with some of my fair tackles... then almost at the end of the match, i stopped the ball coz it was out of the line already and he just chiong in with the very intention of hurting pple... and yep, he showed his studs to my ankle... damn him... thank god it was just a bruise and nothing else... well, u just watched it the next time we play again... i will extra sure you will be the one going back with more than a bruise...

went night cycling with the mit pple on friday after i book out... well, it was fun... long time since i last cycled... hope to more trips in the future...

and yea!!! i got the gst offset package... meaning im 300 bucks richer thanks to the government... most of my frens already decide le, this 300 will be spend on a psp... haha... so not bad, gvt sponsor me a psp... lolz...

this week was a great week for me as i finally cleared my ippt!!! yes la... finally passed it after so long... pass means alot of things... means i no need to go back for rt on sat, can finally get my rank and get our stupid oc off out back... so have to maintain the pass now, hopefully can get silver the next time round...

gonna be a busy few weeks ahead with the aao auditing coming up... meaning everyday have to work ot to ensure everything is in place and everything is clean up ready for the checks... sianz... den on june 4, we going out for another ops exercise... zzz... but lucky only 3 days so not that bad la...

selected to be part of a soccer team made up of operators and specs to play against the officers tml... have to bring all my gear in... meaning tonight alot of things to bring in sia... num 3 uniform, soccer boots, clothes etc... bag gonna be damn big again...

finally cleared all my guard duty for this month... can finally start to enjoy weekends le...

sianz... guard duty.... hate this 2 words man... have 4 duties in 2 weeks la... kaoz... damn sianz one loh... suppose to be only 3 but tomorrow got activated coz one of my platoon mate still on attend c till june so i have to stand in for him... sianz loh... i juz did duties last monday and friday and now tomorrow also need... den saturday another one... argh!!! guard duty damn tiring la... dunno why after ur duty u will be tired for the whole of the next day... zzz...

anyway, went back sp on wednesday as it was my day off... club was having recruitment at fc6 area... nothing much la... go fc6 to have prawn noodle after so long... den talked crap with the pple i know there... den after that, went to cine for suki sushi with joshua, mark, yiboon, siyu and brendan... well, it was great hanging out with them again... haha... den walked to far east den go lucky plaza for a game of pool before i booked in...

den yesterday night went clarke quay to have dinner with some of my platoon mates to celebrate royston's birthday... was suppose to go mos with them after the dinner but i went home instead coz i was simply too tired from doing duty...

next week weekend kenna burn again... worst still no off to compensate coz i serving extra... zzz...

finally, our first real ops has concluded... outfield from tuesday to sunday... the ops was reallu different from our swallow and tryout coz we juz deploy one time and that's it, we are ready to engage aircraft... the ops was ok la... but it was super tiring for me coz i was assigned as the number 1 TO for the entire exercise who no sub... it's damn straining on the eyes as i have to keep staring into the sky to look for the fighter planes... being my first time, the results were still ok except for the last day of engagement i think as i was really suffering from fatigue by then...

also, beside being the TO, i also have to do sentry duty... damn tiring also... have to keep oneself awake... but sentry 2 point good... got cover and concealment... was live updating the epl scores on my handphone and i even use the phone to call shermian and wish her happy birthday... haha... thank god i wasn't caught...

but the mosquitoes at the place is super irritating... we lighted dunno how many mosquito coils, applied tonnes of repellent and even put on mosquito patches but we still get bitten up down left right... i got bitten on the inner thighs till its red there and my back like got tattoo like that from all the bites... and till today, it's still itching!!! damn those mosquitoes man!!!

suppose to have monday and wednesday off after we came back on sunday but had to book in on monday coz i have guard duty... well, at least i clock the off day... this 2 weeks damn sianz... 3 duties together... after monday, i have one this friday and another one next saturday... the one on next saturday is an extra that i sign... zzz... meaning no guard off on monday... sianz...

well, since i got tml off, was thinking of going back sch to visit the peeps in club... but like most of the pple dunno who le so abit funny... well, at least fatboi josh is there to accompany me tml... haha... i want to taste fc6 food again also!!!

1st Ops

finally got my new skin up... took a while for me to get the design out... wun eally called it my own design as i somehow tot of the design by looking at another person's... well, at least the final outcome wasn't tat bad... 1st time working on this type of template... added songs as well... wake me up when september ends... yep, do wake me up during september 2008 coz by then i can happily say ORD LOH!!!

hasn't really been a very good week for me... alot of things bogging in my mind right now with nowhere to release it...

failed my ippt yet again... haiz... i was actually secretly hoping i could pass... but well, chin-ups ey again... i did 3 before i pulled my shoulder muscle meaning i could not chin any more... haiz... den running deprove also... from 10:30 to now 11 flat... freak... tats bad... and the bombshell is, our oc gave us 3 more months to pass or it will be remedial training on both saturday and sunday... going back on sat is bad enough and now sunday... wtf... i hate it when people take our freedom outside of camp as a weapon against us... and with my injuries, able to pass in 3 months is touch and go... im getting more and more injuries with each day in the squadron... when have i become so injury prone man... haiz...

den next week is our 1st ever ops le... meaning we will go out deploy and actually detect and track aircrafts... seriously, im not looking forward to it abit at all... for the whole week, our ps and pc have been piling on our detachment and that whether or not we will do well in the exercise depends on the 7 of us... or rather mainly the TO and RO... and i will most probably be the the first pair of TO & RO... im really scared that we won't be able to do well... and not doing well means alot of things... privileges that should be given to us will be taken away and privileges that we are already enjoying will be taken away as well... that's bad... if its me alone still ok but its the whole platoon welfare at stake... now u see the pressure we are having??? 6 days... lets hope i survive till the 29th... the most sianz part also is that on the 30th im having guard duty while the rest are on off... zzz...

took the opportunity to have a good rest this weekend... only went out to have dinner and watch the match between arsenal and tottenham with keyuan, yehshun and xianyuan at brewerkz, clarke quay... hopefully these 2 days of rest is enough for me to get ready for bersama shield...

Busy few Weeks

haven been updateing for quite a while as i haven't been at home for the past 2 weekends... well, here's a short update...

yea!!! im a marksman again... proves that the marksman i got in bmt was no fluke... the atp shoot lasted one whole day so had to stay in until sat morning... anyway, for the shoot, i got 27/28... day shoot was perfect and i miss one round at night... well not bad... this means im 200 bucks richer and and i got 1 day off to clock... haha...

den finally had our passing out ceremony on the 5th... finally considered pass out from the course le... now is maintainence course... and straight away after the course is our first major exercise le... but life after passing out is definitely a bit better la...

den went back for mit club fo camp 07/08... yep, the time of the year again where the freshmen came in... was there for the 4 days duration of the camp... well, i think the campers had fun which was the main thing... also get the chance to catch up with my juniors... well done to everyone who played a part in planning and running the camp yea... and i think this will be my last yr going back le ba... firstly im getting too old for this and secondly, i dun noe the nxt batch of pple le... maybe like what joshua said la, come back for 1 day for a so called gathering...

met up wif ak, alvin, waicheng, lynn and huarong yesterday... but before that, i saw alot of pple la... saw yewpeng, ziyi, ikhwan and his grp the peacebreakers and keyuan... went to fish and co to have our dinner... wanted to catch a movie but there was no seats so go walked around and den went to balcony to have a drink...

booking in again tonight... exercise coming up... which means going outfield... something which i hate!!! zzz...

Busy Week

what a week it has been man... really packed to the brim with activities...

booked in on saturday... most sianz part... coz sunday was start of our exercise swallow... exercise swallow can only be describe in one word, shagged!!! the 4 days was damn tiring la... keep deploy, cease, deploy, cease over and over again... wasn't made easier by one cock sgt who always gives us trouble and nvr teach us much... dunno how he get his sgt rank also... pls la ar, wan be a commander dun be a half fuck one la... same case as our "seaking" pc... well, we went back to sqn on wednesday for a rest before going back on thursday night again to cease... damn tiring la... den still hav to clean the stores and equipments somemore...

rushed home after i booked out... coz was supposed to attend mit's dinner and dance... apologise for coming late but sir dun let me book out i also sianz... anyway, by the time i reached the hotel it was already 8+... so ok la... didn't really miss much... anyway, congrats to the committee for a job well done on the ADD... after the event, went to eski bar with yiboon, joshua, shawn, yonghe and ceed... after drinking, went to lau pa sat for supper den just sit down and talk cok until morning... talked about alot of stuffs sia... they updated me on what's happening in school and in club and we also talked about the memories... seriously, talking about the fun and bad times in the past really makes me wanna go back poly and study again... how i miss those times man... so peeps, treasure ur poly life while it lasts...

den met up wif my a5 platoon mates on saturday at sim lim square... they wanted to get a psp... wanted to get one as well... but will get it later as i now pocket got big hole... bobian ar, in bunk damn sianz... need entertainment... but got to save up 1st ba... also wanna get a weekend phone... aiming for the nokia 6300... think have to try not spend money le...

had our 1st match after such a long long time today... played against nick's cousin team... lost the game 3-2... damn it loh... conceded 3 super duper soft goals la... we were definitely much better den them and definitely dun deserve to lose... i ended the match with 1 assist and 1 yellow card... the freaking referee was bias against me la... just touch anyone and its a foul... damn him loh... stupid ref.... anyway, most of us were rusty after so long nvr play soccer and it shows la... got to improve man...

3 more days to course end le... yippee!!! so happy... hopefully life will be better after that...

Sianz ar... Have to book in tonight... weekend kenna cut short by one day... have to book in tonight as tomorrow is the start of out sumex... hopefully can endure through the next 4 days so that can pass out peacefully... wish me luck for the next 4 days man...

Tiring week

end of a super tiring week... exercise tryout has passed... so now left with our exercise swallow le... the sumex of it all... tryout wasn't really that great... only slept for about 2 hours in 2 days... and swallow is 4 days... so lets guess how long i am going to sleep... haha... tryout was really damn tiring... was i glad that i manage to go thru it... so now left swallow... really hope i can get thru the last hurdle... den i kenna 1 more confinement coz of tryout... fuck la... left a headset on the tracker and nvr account for it... but i wasn't even the one who account for stores in the morning la... den in the end become my fault... fuck loh... damn tulan now... have to be confine becoz of tis... also dunno when is the confinement...

met up wif my poly classmates yesterday to go to the euro funfair at my house there... taking thrill rides is a good way to get rid of stress i would say... haha... den went to the it show today... saw alot of my friends there... all working away... how i wish i was working instead of serving the country... anyway, bought a LG dvd writer drive and a sonic gear speaker... spend only about 100 bucks... so still ok...

Tryout and Sumex coming soon....

did not blog the previous week coz i was having my confinement den book out liao immediately go out so didn't have the time to blog... confinement last week was damn sianz la... the whole night and afternoon got nothing to do at all loh... sianz... hope i don't fail any more tests...

this week was our most slack week of the entire course... 10 weeks of the course has passed le... another 4 more weeks den can pass out and relax abit le... but the next 4 weeks gonna be a very tough one... going to have my tryout next week for 2 days followed by 1 week break before going for our sumex, our summary exercise before we can pass out... not going to be easy though... the commanders sure come out with all kinds of stunts to make things difficult for us de... just hope i have the mental and physical strength to go through this 4 weeks of hell then i can pass out le... the thing i am most worried about is my kneecap... its been acting funny for the past 1 week and im scared its gonna give way again during tryout... well, wish me luck for the next 4 weeks... hopefully i can come out in one piece...

we had a squadron chinese new year celebration last friday... it was fun although we were the saikang party tasked to do the setting up and clearing up... had yu sheng, steamboat and beer for everyone... it was fun la and we, a5 were quite high during the event la... hopefully it will get out spirit up for next week... den we get to book out in civilian clothes for the 1st time... damn song man... guess it will be the case for after we pass out... booking in in civilian also later... damn song la...

den celebrated waicheng's 21st birthday yesterday... well, an early happy 21st to you... the celebration was held at settlers cafe in holland v... went to chill out at coffeebean after that with my seniors and of coz waicheng and alvin... well, it was nice catching up with some of them...

hmm, slowly everyone turning 21 le... im also turning 21 this year... someone ask me yesterday how am i going to celebrate my 21st and i said nothing much, same as before, likely not celebrating... birthdays been pretty much the same for me every year... although 21st suppose to be a big affair but dun think i going to celebrate it ba... no time to plan also... plus the most impt thing, no finances... haha... well, not alot of pple remember my birthday also... so i think it will be spend in camp... haha...

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone...

been some time since i last blog... was feeling quite down for the past 2 weeks or so due to the trainings and of coz the things tat we had to go thru... im better now i guess... all i can say is, rank is what you wear, respect is what you earn... u want us to respect u all, den show us that u deserve our respect coz what we are respecting now is the rank that u are wearing, not the person... if not for the rank, i can guarantee something will be different... we are all human beings, not playthings for u all, not entertainment material for u all when u are bored... we have our feelings too even though we are juz trainees...

anyway, finally a good 4 day break from camp being booking in later today... this week marks the start of several tough weeks ahead... starting tis week, we will be going our tactical deployment and den the weeks ahead will be followed by 2 more excercise, tryout and our sumex... determining factor as to whether we pass out frm the course or do we extend our course... haiz... just hope to get thru the whole thing in one piece... shoulder haven't fully recover and i still have to go thru all the tough regimes... knee cap no need say... been in pain ever since the starting of the course... haiz...

and last week, we had our first ever night out of camp during valentine's day... night out is when we get to book out of camp in our civilian clothes and relax ourselves out of camp... think that day was chosen to let those wif partners enjoy themselves with one another... as for me, spend it with the rest of my platoonmates who have no dates... haha... the night out was great as it was a good chance for us to de-stress ourselves and don't think about all the stuffs in our head... and everyone returned feeling refreshed...

chinese new year... nothing much ba... went visiting on the first day... relatives love to say and ask the same things every year... typical stuffs like, "wa, u so tall le ar", "where u studying now?", "got girlfriend anot", "when want to get married", "what u planning to do after your ns"... answer till i think i got model answer liao la... haha...

was actually designing a new blog skin for myself... but didn't manage to complete it so i guess i will change it on another day...

confining on sat this week coz i failed my test... sianz... meaning friday night book out, sat morning book in, sunday morning book out and den sunday night book in again... damn sianz right... and i think i will get another confinement coz of another test... zzz...

Injured

im paralysed on the left side of my body now... injured my left shoulder and my left knee the past week... left knee was definitely was old injury... den shoulder is think over strain la... but dun think is the muscle leh... got smthing to do with the bone but after x-ray it shows nothing wrong leh... damn man... dunno wats wrong with it...

finish my new yr shopping already... satisfied wif what i bought... 1 jeans, 2 t-shirts, 1 polo-t and 1 shirt... bought early coz i dunno when i will be confine in the nxt 2 weeks as i chop plus guarantee will fail my theory test... must hit 75% man... so its cfm gone case... so awaiting the results and when i will be confine...

life is getting more n more boring with each week... feels like im drifting further n further away from some of my frens... haiz... hard to keep in contact wif pple man...
