yesterday was the start of the inter-cons competition... first up was captain ball... first match was against who else but our favourite club(no pun intended) SPSU... haha... manage to get a letter from mr tan which allowed me to play the game... so rushed down from work...
SPSU had their usual cast of pple... there was eric, jeremy, q, keval, daryl, keatying, salina and amanda... the rest i nvr see be4... there is nothing known as a friendly especially when its a competiton and against SPSU of all clubs... so with a rip roaring cheer of MIT!!! we are off... we started off abit tentatively coz i was playing wifout chalk and junhao by my sides... so its kinda hard to combine wif techchau n yungsheng given its out first time playing together... but we started to get the hang of the game... and as usual, xuejia was our star goalscorer... not before long, we race into a 11-0 lead... tat was when the calvary was taken off and its time to play for time... SPSU was getting aggressive at tat moment... our gers were clearly subjected to rough play... they managed to score 5 points before the ref called for half time...
it was decided tat we will maintain that lead and close shop by defending... which explains our strategy of putting zul as our blocker... SPSU came out even more aggressive in the second half... eric was barging and banging me all ard... kinda got a little fustrated and hit out at him... xuejia was subject to several pushes from q... even their gers were getting aggressive... at one pt, keatying was like hugging me to get the ball frm me... n poor old me could do nothing but savour the moment ;p :bleah: haha... daryl was proving to be a very nosiy nuisance... even dive to try to get a foul... its captain ball not soccer my fren... n he cheered like mad and made sarcasm when he tot he scored only for the ref to disallowed it... i can only laugh... our closing shop plan was working well and me, zul n junhao were playing monkey wif them for a period of time... and close shop we did in the 2ns haf... they only had 1 pt to show for all their aggression... we didn't score any but we came close only for the ref to disallow the pts for legs off the ground while shooting... anyway, final score 11-6!!! MIT OWNS!!! after the handshakes and 3 cheers, it was all back to normal as friends once again... one match down... bring on CADC nxt...
went on a tour of the school afterwards for nightwalk planning... went to a few never been to be4 place... after which was dinner at bukit timah n home sweet home...
sat is the first match of inter cons soccer... up against our old rivals sports club... nvr seems to be able to win them despite taking the lead always... this time if we do take the lead again, i will make sure we really close shop... play 10-0-0...
